We never fought or argued and it never got bitter

Sweta Keswani talks to Roshni K Olivera about her relationship with Alexx and why things didn’t work out in their marriage

Sweta Keswani and Alexx O’Neil’s marriage may have ended, but the two continue to remain good friends. Here, the actress talks about how and why things didn’t work out in her marriage and about moving on…

IT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE… “We both married our best friend, which I thought was the best thing to do. Over time, however, we realised that we had different goals, desires and needs for the future. Furthermore, our professional commitments, my long hours on the sets in Mumbai and Alexx’s frequent film shooting outside kept us apart. And after having spent so much of our two-year marriage in different places, we found that we hadn’t created much of a married life together. Nevertheless, I have no regrets; we’ve had a wonderful few years together and so many amazing memories! While Alexx is a great guy and remains my close friend, I realised that I need someone different in my life. We never fought or argued and it never got bitter – which is simply unbelievable to most people! And I am completely at peace with the way things worked out, in fact, I’m extremely grateful to him and our relationship; they helped me to understand my own limitations and shortcomings — things that I can work on in the future. These years and our split have been an empowering More >

Certainly Shatrugan Sinha must have exclaimed “Khamoosh!” when he found out that his baggage was lost in transit while he returned from Pakistan. The actor-politician, who went on a goodwill mission to Pakistan with fellow-parliamentarians Yashwant Sinha and Mani Shankar Aiyer last week, lost his entire baggage on his flight from Lahore to Delhi.

Even though he lost all his winter clothes what pinched Shotgun more was the gifts he had received from friends and well wishers across the border that were lost with baggage. Even Yashwant Sinha lost his baggage in transit within Pakistan but it was found eventually.

Even though the loss of baggage irked Shotgun he was extremely happy about the goodwill mission he undertook to Pakistan. His message to them was to stop investing in bullets and only then would onion and lentil prices will go down on both sides of the borders also the cross terrorism is an issue that must be addressed.

The countdown to Kajol’s delivery has begun… and the We Are Family actress’ mother Tanuja and sister Tanishaa held a solemn puja at their Santa Cruz residence Grotto Villa for her safe confinement. The family also did a griha pravesh as they have shifted back to this old home of theirs after years.

Kajol, who has been advised not to travel by the doctors, could not attend the puja. There was a havan with a special aarti. Ghee shira as prasad with fruits and sweets were distributed to neighbours and well wishers. The entire family is excited about Kajol’s second child and are keeping everything hush-hush. Even Ajay has also hardly spoken on this.

Sworn enemies Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were shooting within a stone’s throw away from one another on Wednesday

Vickey Lalwani (MUMBAI MIRROR; August 20, 2010)

High tension prevailed in Mehboob Studios, Bandra on Wednesday evening. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, who can’t stand each other, were shooting within frightening proximity of one another.

While Shah Rukh was shooting for a TV commercial, Salman was giving interviews for his brother Arbaaz Khan’s forthcoming release Dabangg.

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan

Buzz is that Shah Rukh’s well-wishers called him up, urging him to delay his arrival until Salman concluded his interviews about Dabangg.

On the other hand, a friend of Salman says, “Salman was advised to come only after Shah Rukh started facing the camera for the commercial.”

The panic button was pressed when the respective camps of Shah Rukh and Salman both learnt that the arch rivals were supposed to arrive at nearly at the same time. This led to almost pandemonium at Mehboob Studio.

While their individual coteries managed to space their arrival a few minutes away from each other, the panic did not end there. In his customary style, Salman was seen wandering out of the set for some time.

Soon, Shah Rukh’s crew members had their heart in this mouth. Salman was heading to Shah Rukh’s set. “Thankfully, he turned his direction and headed to a new set where he had another commitment to fulfill.

Bhajji still bowled over Geeta?

The grapevine says Harbhajan Singh is reportedly good friends with starlet Geeta Basra even now…

Meena Iyer | TNN (BOMBAY TIMES; July 29, 2010)

Harbhajan Singh, the Team India offbreaker, has bowled a googly to the media which is still wildly speculating over his reported relationship status with Bollywood starlet Geeta Basra.

The two, if some media reports are to be believed, are no longer an item. But that is baffling, because the ace spinner has been taking a keen and undue interest in Geeta’s Bollywood career of late.

BT has reason to believe that between his very recent and truly hectic Zimbabwe and Sri Lankan cricket tours, Bhajji found time to actually hobnob with a couple of important Bollywood  personalities. And the reason for his networking is simple. A source says, “Harbhajan is keen to see that Geeta’s career which virtually ground to a halt after her appearance in Mukesh Bhatt’s The Train with Emraan Hashmi, gets back on track again. Harbhajan has spoken to a few people who he knows in Bollywood requesting them to take Geeta in their projects.”

Now if a A-list cricketer is going out of his field to give a maidenin-distress such importance, it could only add up to one thing. That the bowler and the Bollywood beauty continue to be friends. Harbhajan, who is in the midst of the Sri Lankan tour, couldn’t be reached for comment. But Geeta said, “He’s a well-wisher but that doesn’t mean he’s helping me in my More >
