Second Marriage Dot Com shows Mohit Chouhan as a single father whose son (played by Vishal Nayak) makes him meet single mom Charu Rohatgi with the help of her daughter (played by Sayani Gupta. The two even get them married, celebrate Valentine’s Day and organise a special honeymoon to stimulate intimacy.

Debutant director Gaurav Panjwani hit upon the idea two years ago when he happened to read a spam mail about a website that advocated second marriages for people who had either separated or had lost their life partners. The site mentioned how two individuals with a teen child each had found happiness once again. “The idea of four strangers coming and living together fascinated me and I weaved a plot around it, but with a twist of course,” smiles the director.

Producer Vinod Mehta says that youngsters today think differently and want to change age-old social norms. “My film takes that initiative,” he says. Music director Aditya Agarwal says, “The story took me by surprise. I blended the music keeping the theme of the film in mind.”

Second Marriage Dot Com, produced by Vin Mehta Films, the film releases today.

Shooting love making scenes in a film are never easy. The lead cast, Vishal Nayak and Sayani Gupta, had their own experiences while doing a crucial sex scene that interestingly also turns out to be the turning point in the plot of their film Second Marriage Dot Com.

Incidentally, Vishal and Sayoni made debutant director Gaurav Panjwani shoot the scene for the second time as the first one turned out to be obscene. Says Panjwani, “Yes, we shot it for the second time for aesthetic reasons.” He adds, “It took some heavy discussion to prepare my lead cast for it. I told them that I will shoot the scene as naturally as possible. I decided not to say cut and kept all the action motion for ten minutes continuously. During the narration, Sayoni and Vishal seemed pretty chilled out. But when it actually came to shooting, both developed cold feet.” Vishal admits he was not comfortable. “I did not want it to look fake and forced on screen. There were some hiccups initially. But we pulled through successfully.” Sayani adds, “I realised that while doing such scenes you have to just go with the flow and finish it. And I did just that.”

Second Marriage Dot Com, produced by Vin Mehta Films, releases on August 10.
