It will be shot in the USA and Saif agreed to produce the film under his banner. However the leading girl was not finalised and everyone at the production house was of the opinion that they needed a fresh pair with Saif after Cocktail. Sameera’s credit card hacked
0BOMBAY TIMES (November 29, 2011)
Sameera Reddy had her credit card hacked last week. She says, “You can imagine my shock when my credit card has been hacked. I got a call from an untraceable internet phone from someone who told me that he is a professional hacker. I thought it was a crank call but when he started giving me personal details of my account, my address, account PIN, birthdate etc, I went into shock. He said every second that I waste, thousands of dollars are being used worldwide as my account details are spreading like wildfire on the hacker network. The man said he was a fan and recognized my name from the movies so his conscience kicked in and he had to warn me. And thank God he did! I called up and immediately cancelled my card but in the space of 25 minutes there were 32 transactions confirmed. Strangely enough the Indian hacker from USA called me yet again giving me advice on how to protect myself online in the future and warning me that any online usage is never safe.”
Now I AM also plans global release
0By Joginder Tuteja, May 4, 2011 – 11:30 IST
Inspired by the super success of My Name Is Khan which has become a global phenomenon and is still playing internationally despite it’s release in India a year ago, even I AM would be expanding it’s horizons. Even as the film has opened to rave reviews and is one of the best critiqued affairs in last so many months, this Onir directed flick is not resting on it’s laurels and would now be marketed for global platforms.
Says a close associate of Sanjay Suri, co-producer of the film, “Team of I AM has been closely followed how My Name Is Khan – a film that made statement on racism – has been doing wonders internationally. Of course that film has names of superpowers like Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar being attached to it that has allowed it worldwide visibility. In comparison the challenge is immense for Sanjay and Onir to execute similar marketing plans.”
As is a known fact by now, My Name Is Khan, after its February release last year, is still travelling globally and is now a massive success in South Korea as well after making waves in Americas as well as Europe. Prior to that another issue based film Black had done phenomenal business there. Now since I AM too addresses issues like surrogate parenthood, paedophiles, terrorism and homosexuality, the makers believe that it carries great potential to penetrate international markets.
“Our film has a universal language”, says Onir, “Right now we have released the film in More >

0By Bollywood Hungama News Network, April 19, 2011 – 16:40 IST
After an outstanding performance as Chatur ‘Silencer’ Ramalingam in 3 Idiots followed by Dil Toh Bachha Hai Ji, Omi Vaidya will be next seen in action-thriller Players, shot in New Zealand. Despite a busy schedule filled with riveting car chases against Wellington’s hillside terrain, Omi didn’t waste any time in exploring the country’s bounty of attractions along with his co-stars. Talking about his adventure, Omi says, “Filming for Players in New Zealand was a dream come true. Our first location, Wellington, really grew on us as it was big enough to explore, but small enough to not feel lost in. Although it is known as Windy Wellington, I actually enjoyed the weather. The small quaint shops and little streets really promoted us to walk around and explore. And we were lucky enough to celebrate Abhishek Bachchan’s birthday during the Rugby Sevens victory party that happened all night on the streets. That was quite a night! In Auckland, we visited the Casino and got to go to some really nice beaches. New Zealand is such a nice country; it’s hard to keep focused on work.”
Post his Auckland schedule, Omi traveled indulged in white water rafting in New Zealand’s geothermal paradise, Rotorua alongwith his darling wife, Malini, who flew in from USA to join Omi. Omi adds, “The white water experience was amazing. Rafting in Rotorua was a thrill beyond comprehension! Not only did I raft down the highest More >

Sukhwinder Singh’s tribute to World Cup 2011
0By Satish Sundaresan, March 11, 2011 – 19:07 IST
We are sure that this year’s World Cup has been far more exciting and enticing than ever before for reasons more than one. Every Indian has been praying for a repeat of the Indian team’s Cup winning performance of the year 1983. Every Indian has been doing their bit, in order to boost the morale and the team spirit of the team.
One such gentleman is Nishanth Kollu, a young IT professional, based across the seven seas of USA. In order to exhibit his love for the game of cricket, he hit upon an inspirational song called ‘Balle Mataram‘, which has been sung by the talented Sukhwinder Singh, while the lyrics have been penned by the ace lyricist Sameer. Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Sukhwinder Singh said, “The best part of the album is that the lyrics that have been penned by Sameer as a tribute to the game of not just cricket, but any game for that matter. It has what would one call as the ‘True Sportsmanship’. Luckily, the composition has been so open hearted as it exhibits the true smell of the Indian soil. The engineer of the song was also so very surprised when I sang the song. The USP of this song is that we recorded this song in an open space in Karjat. The organizer of the song (Nishanth) is what one would call as a true fan of the game. And ‘Balle Mataram‘ is something that can be called as an ‘apt tribute’ for the game.”
When we spoke to Nishanth Kollu, he said, “It’s only my love and More >
Katrina’s kiss returns to haunt her
0Her steamy kiss with Gulshan Grover in the DVD of her debut film that was deleted, will now appear in the new one
Prithwish Ganguly (BOMBAY TIMES; March 9, 2011)
Katrina Kaif ’s hot liplock with Gulshan Grover in Boom (2003) is all set to return to haunt her. The actress had managed to get the screen smooch deleted from the first DVD by putting pressure through Salman Khan, who she was dating then. No one says no to Khan. But now that he’s out of her life, the kiss is making a comeback. The question that begs to be asked is why the makers want to release a fresh DVD when it’s not exactly a hot selling item. Says an industry source, ‘It is clear that the makers of Boom want to cash in on Katrina’s success. She is a top actress now and naturally there will be curiosity about a steamy scene she did, when she was a newcomer.” It’s just another way to make a quick buck at her expense.
Gulshan confirms, “It is true. The new lot will have the controversial scene, which was omitted earlier. Many years have passed since we did Boom and even I had forgotten that such a scene existed in it. But we are all set to refresh the past. The scene certainly will have its share of reactions.”
Meanwhile, the actress is clueless about this new development. However, a source from the production says, “They don’t need to inform her or get her permission for the same. She had signed a contract knowing fully well what she was doing and had got paid for it.” More >
