Urvashi Dholakia, still best known for her character Komolika from Kasauti Zindagii Kay, believes in living life to the fullest. Here, she talks about work, marriage and her two teenage sons, who mean the world to her…

You were approached for a dance reality show recently, but couldn’t take it up because you don’t have a partner? Yes, I was approached, but it required me to have a partner and unfortunately that’s where the problem is when you are single!

You got married at a very young age and then went through a separation. Are you open to marriage again? Marriage! Let the heavens decide (laughs).

How will your sons react in case you ever decide to take the plunge again? My two sons are my support system and are aware of everything that takes place in my life. As far as taking the plunge goes and their reaction to it, one thing’s certain that no decision of mine would come as a surprise to them which categorically means that their approval and acceptance is TOP priority.

How difficult was it for you as a single woman in this industry? Being a single parent is not easy, but if the people who you work with treat you as family then nothing seems difficult or impossible. And that’s exactly what I have got from this industry.
