// // // A few days ago, Amrita Rao fired her maid. Most of us have done that at some point of time, but Amrita’s reason for firing her maid is a story in itself – she caught her maid red-handed wearing her clothes and accessories.

A source close to Amrita says, “That maid was either Amrita’s fan or blinded in pursuit of achieving material things. Actually, Amrita had appointed her for assisting her mother at home. Whatever, her actions in Amrita’s absence weren’t justified.”

Apparently Amrita was out that day but returned much earlier than expected. She could not believe her eyes when she saw her maid dressed in one of her outfits. She was fired on the spot. “She begged to stay but Amrita said she could not have her services anymore,” added our source.

When contacted, Amrita said, “It was quite hilarious and scary at the same time. I had hired additional domestic help for my mother since the existing servants are generally tied down doing things for me. Now I am going to be a little more careful.”

Being a small town girl, she thought by wearing my clothes and accessories she could be an actress and boast about it in her village. Unlike SRK, Amitabh, Kalam didn’t complain-Amar Singh

New Delhi: Amid the raging controversy over Shah Rukh Khan’s detention at a US airport, Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Monday waded into the maze of swirling opinions by wondering what the fuss was all about.

Singh said Khan’s campaign on his treatment at a US airport may make people suspect it was a publicity stunt for his next movie My Name Is Khan. The SP leader said even millennium star Amitabh Bachchan was subjected to security-related checks in France, a country which has given him the highest civilian honour, and in Switzerland, but he never spoke about it. “There are two types of people in society—one, who make an issue out of an incident and another, who cooperates with procedures. Bachchan never blew it up. APJ Abdul Kalam, who is high in stature, was frisked in his own country but he kept quiet even though the whole country screamed over it,” Singh said.

Singh’s wading into the controversy seems his attempt to get even with King Khan with whom he has a history of bitterness. But the SP leader denied such a motive, saying there was no animosity between him and Khan and they were nowfriends.
