0By Bollywood Hungama News Network, March 24, 2011 – 10:35 IST
That Shahid Kapoor is a name to reckon with in Bollywood today is a well known fact. The same has been reaffirmed by millions of his fan following globally!
In a unique research, Bling in order to find the right brand fit for their celebrities, had commissioned a nation-wide consumer research on Shahid Kapoor. The research, conducted by Synovate India, threw up some interesting consumer insights on Shahid. While he is widely known for his cute looks and great dancing skills, his brief foray into the action genre with Kaminey was very well-received. And the results were more shocking than expected! Consumers in the metros felt that he lends his energy easily to action roles. While he has a great physique, he is not traditionally beefy, which make his action sequences very relatable. On the other hand, the consumers in mini-metros like Lucknow and Ludhiana suggested that with him maturing in age and roles, he could easily take up more action-packed roles. Even the Southern Indian consumers, who look for a complete hero, felt that he fits the bill as he could pull off romantic as well as action roles, to go with his great dancing skills.
When it’s Shahid, can women be far behind! Well, so, here’s what the women folks had to say. Women, across geographies and age-groups, felt that action roles add a lot of zing to his already-sexy image. With such a high recall of his portrayal of Charlie in More >

The Sara Khan-Ali Merchant fiasco, where the two tried taking everybody for a ride by getting married on Bigg Boss after ‘patching up’, has audiences questioning how real are reality shows. That these shows world over are tweaked to make them interesting is a known fact, but now viewers are wondering whether they are totally scripted and there’s any element of truth in them.
THUMBS DOWN TO SCRIPTED DRAMA In a survey conducted by BT, 83.5 per cent people said reality shows are rigged. “There is nothing real about reality shows. It’s all planned,” says Saina Ghosh, a post-graduate student. This is exactly how most viewers think. “Channels want to make their shows more interesting, hence they plan things in advance. But why call them reality shows,” asks Kushal Pandit, a businessman.
Quite a few shows have been under the scanner recently. In the case of Bigg Boss, soon after its first season, actress Kashmera Shah who was an inmate said that she was just playing out her part in the house of being a bitch! Now the Ali-Sara case has further strengthened the allegations of inmates acting out a role, at least a few of them. At the moment, the loud Dolly Bindra, people strongly believe, is in the house only to create trouble for TRPs!

Producers of Udaan conducting teen sex survey
0Anurag Kashyap and UTV, the joint producers of Udaan, have come up with a unique marketing gimmick to promote their film. Anurag and his team will conduct an online research-based survey amongst teenagers between the age of 12 and 19 years about their sexual habits and other related confusions of adolescence.
The results of this research will be used in the promos and posters of their film. Our source said, “UTV is doing a large scale survey on the internet. The idea is to get insight into the minds of teenagers and understand their behavioural patterns as the film is a sensitive portrayal of father-son relationship and depicts what a teenage mind goes through. The exercise has been undertaken last week and all results will reflect on the posters and television promos. The survey will ask some really sensitive questions but at the same time protect names and identities.”
