When break up couples come together
0Bollywood power couples who’ve split up are being brought together by big budget endorsements and films
Sonal Chawla (MUMBAI MIRROR; March 30, 2011)
Nobody in Bollywood is ‘just good friends’ anymore. The A-listers have drawn inspiration from the bold and the beautiful Sushmita Sen and no longer hide their ‘on and off’ relationships. After all, it does have its advantages the much coveted media attention, big bucks from endorsements together and also the occasional publicity for a film.
And though, post breaking up, a star couple earlier would refuse to work together (Shahid-Bebo, Ash-Salman), these days money and movies motivate the exes to patch up real soon.
Recently John and Bipasha signed a one-year contract with a hair colour company. One of Bollywood’s longest standing couple, John and Bips, broke up recently. They signed this deal post their split primarily because of the big money.
They were offered approximately 5 crores. Moreover, they are still under a few ongoing contracts and have to continue their togetherness, at least on screen for the junta.
Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra had called it quits in February, finally, after going back and forth for quite some time now. Although they have parted ways, they will be doing Kunal Kohli’s next. Shahid is being paid approximately 6 crores, and Priyanka approximately 2 crores for the film.
An industry insider said, “Even though they have parted ways, they cannot decline projects coming More >

But the major task will be to lose it after gaining so much.”

After a Yash Raj launch and a hit with his debut film Band Baaja Baaraat, Ranveer Singh has a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders now.
For his next Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl, produced by Yash Raj, the actor has locked himself in Yash Raj Studio and has been undergoing intense training for his role to shed his ‘Delhi boy’ image.
A friend of Ranveer said, “It’s been over two weeks that Ranveer has been practically living in Yash Raj Studio. In less than 10 days his next, Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl is going on floors.
The actor is playing a cool young boy, not from any particular region, but surely he cannot be carrying the image of ‘Bittu Sharma’ from his debut film.”
The friend continues, “He has been taking workshops for his character in regard to his body language and body movements. He has also been taking diction classes to get rid of his Delhi accent.
Ranveer is actually from Mumbai but everyone thinks of him as a Delhi-ite. In the past two weeks he has been practising and rehearsing for over 14 hours and only goes home to sleep.
He is working very hard to change his image, so the audience can also perceive and see him in a different light.”

Satish Kaushik does a Saara Zamaana
0Believe it or not, director turned actor Satish Kaushik will be seen kissing a girl on stage in his forthcoming film Qasam Se Qasam Se.
And that too dressed in Big B’s famous bulb suit from the song Saara Zamaana in Yaraana. Kaushik plays a college canteen guy called Mamu in the film who has a habit of lying.
The song is a dream sequence where he pictures himself dancing like Amitabh Bachchan with the girl he admires.
“It is a tribute to Mr Bachchan. When I first saw the song Saara Zamaana and Amitji wearing the well-lit outfit, I was struck speechless. In this film I got an opportunity to recreate it and agreed,” said Kaushik, a huge fan of Big B himself.
So what about the ‘kiss’? “No it was not a kiss. By chance ho gaya. It was just a sweet peck,” explained the man.
Sonam storms out of the sets of Mausam?
0The actress on arriving in Chandigarh had to wait for her hotel room. On reaching the sets, there was no make-up van, spot boy
Sonal Chawla (MUMBAI MIRROR; March 17, 2011)
Mumbai Mirror had reported about Sonam Kapoor being sent back home by director Pankaj Kapur when she arrived late on several occassions for the workshop of his film Mausam. But this time the actress has pulled off a tit for tat.
She herself stormed out from the sets in Chandigarh due to the disorganised shoot there.
A source from the sets revealed, “A few days ago the Mausam shoot was going on in Chandigarh. Sonam had to shoot for a song and had flown down to Chandigarh early morning.
On reaching the hotel she found out that the room wasn’t booked and she had to wait for more than an hour till she was allotted one. Sonam was all red by then.”
The source continues, “She immediately freshened up and reached the sets. On reaching she realised that her make-up man, vanity van, spot boy, all were missing.
None of these facilities, which are mandatory and are supposed to be given by the production house, were given to her.
Still she patiently made calls to the production house, asking its staff for her requirements. None of them reverted to her for the longest time. Result: Sonam stormed out from the sets and did not come for shooting.”
“Eventually in the evening, after pacifying calls were made to her by the crew, she returned on the sets and shot for the song,” added the source.
