Spotted at a cricket match recently, Shahid and Priyanka’s body language proved to be a give away

A picture speaks a thousand words. Both Shahid and Priyanka have tried their level best to convince us that they are single but this moment caught on camera proves they are anything but.

The cosy twosome were spotted on Sunday afternoon in Durban enjoying the T-20 match between India and South Africa.

One must bear in mind Priyanka’s remark on Karan Johar’s chat show. When asked about the one thing she would like to know, Piggy said, “Whatever’s on Shahid’s mind.” But it’s evident in this picture that even with dark glasses on Piggy can see right through her lover’s eyes.

You wonder why they denied it for so long then. Ever since Kaminey released in August 2009, this game of the pursuer and the pursuee, so to speak, has been on between Sasha and Piggy.

The couple fell in love soon after but kept denying it. They were spotted together on several occasions later.

Now that they are back to being a couple, Piggy is trying to be Shahid’s useful better half. The recent awards function had caused a rift between SRK and Shahid but last Saturday, on a flight from Mumbai to Durban, Piggy helped SRK and Sasha patch-up.

I am a good girl, claims Rani Mukerji. A paradoxical statement from someone, whose latest film promos show her both smoking and swearing. But the light eyed actress can’t understand why such a ruckus is being created. “People curse when they’re very angry. Sometimes that’s the best way to express one’s emotions. I wonder why some people are acting all shocked at my character,” she questions, her eyes flashing in disapproval. “Also, anyone who’s seen my film “Bichhoo” would know that the words I use in “No One Killed Jessica” (NOKJ) are nothing compared to that.” Remind her gently that not many would have heard of — let alone seen — “Bichhoo” (2000), and she shoots back, “Trust me, all my fans remember that film.”

Rani talks a lot about her fans. That’s why, it’s surprising she’s not on any social networking website, giving them regular updates on her daily doings. “I just can’t keep up with that. Forget my fans, I can’t give anyone an hourly update on my life. I’ve never done it, I can’t begin now.”

Speak to her for a bit and her selfassurance is evident. Katrina not interested in social networking websites

While every top ranking star – from SRK to Salman to Hrithik to Akshay to Abhishek – is on Twitter or Facebook, or both, there are a few exceptions who aren’t keen to start an account on these popular social networking websites. Katrina Kaif is one of those.

Although there are several Katrina Kaif accounts on both Facebook and Twitter, the fact is, they are fake. “I don’t understand this. Aren’t stars supposed to be exclusive? Or should they be so accessible that everything in their life should be out in the open? From what they eat to what they drink to what they wear… I can’t bring myself to this. That’s the reason why I am not on Facebook or Twitter. Why would people spend money to watch stars on screen, when anyone and everyone could connect with them so easily?” Katrina tells me.

While Katrina is entitled to her opinion and viewpoint and one must respect it, you cannot deny the fact that stars do need a platform to air their views. At the same time, it’s important to draw a line and not get too personal, like some actors actually do.

WAKE UP SID OR DO KNOT DISTURB THIS WEEKEND?

I had stated in my talk no 22 as to how youth-oriented films have a great chance of succeeding at the BO since the young constitute almost 60-70% of the moviegoing audience. Thus, there are loads of expectations from Wake Up Sid (WUS), that is all set to release tomorrow. It seems Ranbir Kapoor had made an unintentional norm to release his films on public holidays! WUS releases on Gandhi Jayanti while Ranbir’s previous films, Saawariya (2007) and Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) were released on the day of Diwali and Independece Day respectively!

A lot of ‘firsts’ are associated with WUS, produced by Karan Johar. It is the first time that a KJo produced film is shot entirely in Mumbai. All the rest of KJo films were shot abroad (except Kaal but it wasn’t filmed in the city). This is the first film of Karan Johar that would be distributed by UTV Motion Pictures and not by Yash Raj Films (had stated this point in talk no 51). The music isn’t larger than life and the film is made on a low budget, unlike other Johar’s grand films!

The promos of this film are rocking and indicate perfectly as to what the film is all about. The plus point of WUS is its plot which is very relevant and the character of Sid is extremely relatable. Asin upset with her imposters on Orkut, Facebook or Twitter

“Hey there… Asin is using Twitter,” declares the latest social networking website, and then goes on to give us gems like “I want to act in a Tamil movie” from the actress.

There’s just one problem. Asin is not on Twitter… or any of the social networking websites. And she can’t laugh off the impersonations any longer.

Asin has a very serious problem. She has impersonators on all the major social-networking sites. “I was ready to overlook these fake IDs using my name as long as they weren’t harmful. But now the problem is getting out of hand.”

The other night a colleague had a whole long conversation with ‘Asin’ and called up the next day to share her excitement about what an intimate conversation they had.

“I nearly fell off my chair. I won’t name this actress. But she said we shared our most intimate secrets on Facebook. I nearly fell off my chair and asked her whom did she share her secrets with because it was most certainly not me. Two days ago, a journalist came to interview me and said she got all the information on me from what I had written on Twitter. For the record, I’m not on any of the social-networking websites.
