Actor Shah Rukh Khan who has been a decent man on screen and off screen all this while, will now go bold for his superhero flick Ra One. There’s news that Shah Rukh will do everything and anything necessary to make his movie a rage.
We hear that SRK will kiss on celluloid this time round. And it’s the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor he’ll lock lips with. The actors kiss each other in a song. It’s nothing explicit, but something that can be termed as ‘simple and sweet’ we are told.
It can be remembered that Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, too, indulged in a romantic lip-to-lip in 3 Idiots. “I’ve kissed on screen before, it’s no big deal,” says the Kapoor lass, who always looks forward to working with the Khans. “All four of them – Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh, Saif – are so amazing that I always look forward to doing movies with them.”

Salman Khan has finally agreed to kiss on screen for the first time in his 22-year-old career. The superstar, who has resolutely avoided locking lips to maintain a family image so far, will be seen smooching co-star Asin in Anees Bazmee’s upcoming film, Ready. “It is not yet decided if it will be a long, passionate kiss or a short peck, but director Bazmee has managed to convince Salman that the scene is important to the script. Salman had initially refused to give the shot and it took some talking on Bazmee’s part to convince him,” said a source in the unit of the film. Salman has all along maintained that he is “not too comfortable kissing on screen”. Despite giving several blockbusters such as Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Maine Pyar Kiya and Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya as a romantic hero, he has largely refrained from kissing on screen. Naturally, when Bazmee threw up the idea, the superstar was reluctant.

Imtiaz Ali has kept Aditi Rao Hydari’s role in the Ranbir-starrer under wraps

Aditi Rao Hydari, the shy bua from Delhi-6 who has since moved on to many headlines-grabbing kisses with Arunodaya Singh in Yeh Saali Zindagi, has yet another number up her sleeve, we’ve heard.
There’s word that she is the best kept secret from Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar. The southern stunner is playing a major role in the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, which has so far made much only of Nargis Fakhri, the other female actor.
Aditi, who is getting used to the accolades, says she was even considered for the lead role, finally bagged by Fakhri. She says, “I was called to meet Imtiaz Sir for the lead. But he already had his mind set on Nargis and had signed her on.
Ishaan nairShe had already been training for months.” Sources say the director has, as far as publicity goes, been focusing on the hot Ms Fakhri because Aditi is married and not really fodder for gossip.
This is not the first time Imtiaz has borrowed exotica from another country. Before Nargis, Brazilian model Giselle had played a Punjabi kudi in his Love Aaj Kal. “She didn’t know a word of Hindi and could barely dance for the wedding sequence,” an industry source said.
The sources added that though Nargis has the limelight, Aditi has a lot of footage and some powerful scenes in Imtiaz’s next, in which she plays a journalist.

Censors comes down heavily on Dunno Y… Na Jaane Kyun

The scandal-prone new film Dunno Y… Na Jaane Kyun has gotten itself into trouble with the Censor Board. Blurbs boasting that it is Indian cinema’s first gay love story have apparently not encouraged the censors to loosen up and act liberated.
The Censor Board has clamped down heavily on the love-making sequences between the film’s leading man Kapil Sharma and the Delhi-based model Yuvraaj Parasher who plays Sharma’s lover. Apparently the film, which also features stalwarts Zeenat Aman and Helen, is carpeted with smooching and love-making sequences between the two guys. There is also a lingering gay love-making scene which goes all the way. It apparently had the ladies in the Censor Board walking off in a moral huff and eventually asking the film’s director Sanjay Sharma to delete the torrid kissing sequence and the love-making sequence.
The film’s leading man who says he’s straight in real life, is appalled by the hypocrisy of the Censor Board. “Why should the Censors be scandalized if two men are kissing and making love? My sequences with my screen partner go as far as the scenes showing a guy and girl doing it in our films. And let me tell you, some of these heterosexual sequences are extremely vulgar. The ones in my film are very aesthetic. And so what if it’s two men making love? Love is love regardless of gender.”

Oomphy girl Mallika Sherawat, who has practically made US her home, flew down to Mumbai after two years. And in an exclusive chat with BT, she said that Mumbai continues to be the home where her heart lies… despite the razzle dazzle she has become used to in Los Angeles. “I missed everything about Mumbai. I missed the rains and I also missed the vada pav. I’m going to hog some during my stay,” said Mallika, who is here to promote her Hollywood movie Hisss and act in Double Dhamaal. She added, “In LA, I’m representing India, the land of Om, and it’s a huge responsibility. I take pride that I’m at the forefront of the convergence of the West and the East.”
The actress had created a stir in Bollywood eight years back with her record kissing act in Khwahish in which she smooched the lead actor 17 times. Post this, she went bold in many other films and her kisses and body were as much of an USP of the film as its plot. This is funny. Neil Nitin Mukesh had to kiss Deepika Padukone on screen for their forthcoming film Lafangey Parindey and the actor reportedly got cold feet. Not because he’s a virgin screenkisser and, well, Deepika has the experience of kissing Saif Ali Khan before camera for Love Aaj Kal… but, apparently, because Neil’s had a no-kiss policy in all his films so far. His first director Sriram Raghavan had thrown a fit when Neil refused to kiss Rimi Sen. In his second film, Tera Kya Hoga Johnny, director Sudhir Mishra insisted Neil kiss Shahana Goswami. But the actor refused. Even in Jail where there was a love-making scene with Mughda Godse, Neil refused to kiss the sultry actress. But Lafange Parindey director Pradeep Sarkar pulled the plug on Neil’s chastity vow. If you do it, you are doomed. If you don’t, you are damned. That’s exactly what happened with Anushka Sharma and Shahid Kapoor when they locked lips on the sets of Yash Raj Films’ Badmaash Company. Both actors became the butt of many jokes on the sets.
The incident in question happened on the sets in Bandra where Shahid and Anushka kissed – not once, but thrice. After the first take, Sethi demanded a retake. “It was gawky and odd. You guys need to do it again,” he said.
While the set was being readied for the retake, Shahid and Anushka disappeared from the sets. When they were not to be seen for more than half an hour, the crew members tried calling them on their cell phones but to no avail. “Even Sethi tried calling them, but they didn’t take his call,” a source said.
Shahid and Anushka finally returned after two hours. When Sethi asked them where they had gone, they sheepishly said, “We had gone to buy some books from a bookstore in Bandra.” “Two hours?” Sethi asked. Shahid and Anushka did not reply.
Within no time, a lot of crew members were pulling their leg. “Which book had you gone to buy? The Beginner’s Guide To Kissing?”
Well, whatever books they bought, the certainly seemed to have helped. After that, the two were kissing without inhibitions. More >
