Another movie that’s sure to catch your attention when it releases is ALLAH KE BANDAY. The film, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni and Faruk Kabir [who directs the film], tackles the hitherto untouched subject of young kids taking to crime and if the theatrical trailer is an indicator of what to expect from this film, be rest assured, an explosive story is about to unleash on celluloid this October.
Unlike most promos where the viewer remains clueless about the content of the film, the theatrical promo of ALLAH KE BANDAY gives you an insight of what to expect from the film, making the viewer aware of the content. Besides the promo, the writer also watched a music video, filmed on Kailash Kher, which has been collaborated with UNICEF. Peepli Live actor wants to meet Katrina

Omkardas Manikpuri, an actor from the prestigious theatre house founded by late Habib Tanvir Sahib, Naya Theatre, was taken completely by surprise when all stars walked to him in praise of the promos of Peepli Live.
Karan Johar, Rani Mukherjee and Sharman Joshi all personally got themselves introduced to Natha (as Manikpuri is fondly known) and told him that they really liked what they saw in promos. Manikpuri now wants to meet Katrina Kaif since he is fascinated by her glamour.

He managed to gather the guts to request Aamir for the same. Aamir was first shocked and then started laughing as he found Natha’s request so adorable.
He promised that once he would be back from the tour of Peepli Live promotions in the UK he would surely arrange a meeting.
When contacted, Omkardas Manikpuri confirmed, “Yes, I have told Aamir sir. It is a very personal request, so I don’t want to talk about it.”

The much talked about music launch of Aamir Khan’s next production saw the star make a rare public appearance

The recent music launch of Peepli Live was buzzing with the crème-de-la-crème of Bollywood but all heads turned when Rani walked through the door. With her freshly crimped hair and a beige dress to compliment her figure, the kohl-eyed Bong-shell had all eyes turn to her in no time.
While the launch saw most of the 3 Idiots team members, including Raju Hirani, Sharman Joshi, Ashutosh Gowariker and Prasoon Joshi, Rani was occasionally seen hobnobbing with Karan Johar and Kiran Rao. But most importantly, for the entire 20 minutes that Rani was present at the launch, she spent most of the night chatting with close friend Aamir, who would lend his chivalrous arm to her every now and then and listen patiently to what she was saying.
Who says Rani Mukerji is a recluse? Her shocking appearance at the music launch proves otherwise. Though she turned up just before the event got over, it was a pleasant surprise for those who believe that she shies away from making such public appearances. For one, the actress likes to socialise. Plus, she’s fond of music.
A source present there said, “Rani came just a few minutes before the event got over. Aamir gave her a low-down on what all happened and was overheard asking her why she was late. Rani replied that she was stuck in the traffic and was apologetic about being late. Rani was seen chilling with Karan Johar also who is extremely close to her and both of them left together from the party.”
Calling Rani an extrovert, a source close to the actress said, “Rani has never cut off ties with anybody as reported by the media. She doesn’t attend all events but she is known to make an exception for Aamir because they happen to be very thick.”
As for her friendship with Aamir, Rani has always made it a point to be present at each and every event that he organises.
Ever since she worked with him in Ghulam, she has been one of Aamir’s closest friends and he too has remained in touch with her over the years. The source added, “Be it Aamir’s Diwali party or his birthday bash, Rani makes sure to be with him if she is in town. She is also among the few trusted friends of Aamir who makes it a point to show his films and his first trials to her for critique. The close friendship between the two has rarely been public though.”

Sharman, Dino refuse Dostana 2?

A year after Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code was repealed; Dino Morea and Sharman Joshi have decided to trace back their steps. They have refused to play gay men in Dostana 2.
The prequel starred Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in the lead roles. A source says, “Dino and Sharman did give it a thought. But after much deliberation, they politely refused the offer.”
Earlier, the buzz was that Ritesh Deshmukh and Shreyas Talpade had turned down the same offer. Post that, it was heard that the entire gay track in the film has now been scrapped.

Is that because none of these actors are willing? While the gay relationship between John and Abhishek was much appreciated in the prequel, Dostana 2 seems to be going a different direction.
Even the female lead Priyanka Chopra has been replaced by Katrina Kaif.

Salman Khan’s fan base grows bigger whenever he takes his shirt off. This time his conquest is Pakistani actress Reema Khan. His charity event in Dubai for his organisation Being Human was a success.
Apart from the cricket match with the Pakistani cricketers, he also had a fashion show where most of his friends from Bollywood like Ritesh Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Sharman Joshi, Vatsal Sheth and Chunky Pandey participated. Salman not only proved to be a showstopper on the ramp, but stopped Reema’s heartbeats as well for a moment or two.
Our source said, “Salman has a huge fan following in Dubai. After their cricket match that Bollywood won against the Pakistani cricketers, the next day’s fashion show saw a huge number of fans at the event. The crowds went berserk when Salman walked the ramp and he didn’t disappoint them. He removed his shirt and threw it into the audience. Then, in true Salman style, he threw himself into the crowd. Pakistani actress Reema Khan grabbed the shirt and wanted Salman to sign it. She initially insisted naughtily that Salman should sign the autograph on her cleavage but Salman refused.
She then tried getting him to sign the shirt. However, Salman being Salman, just refused to sign and gave her a cold shoulder.”
While he might have won many fans with his antics during the fashion show, he definitely lost one in the form of Reema Khan.

Sharman, Jackky, Ruslaan in ’3 Days 4 Nights In Bihar’

What Salman Khan couldn’t do, that is shoot his home production Dabangg on location in Bihar, his replacement Ruslaan Mumtaz is all set to do.
New director Abhishek Dogra who has finalized Ruslaan Mumtaz to play the role that was initially offered to Salman Khan, is all set to shoot his film entitled 3 Days 4 Nights In Bihar on location in Bihar.
The story of three spoilt rich wayward dudes blundering through Bihar in a nightmarish vacation is described by Salman’s replacement Ruslaan as “a Dil Chahta Hai meets Rang De Basanti in Bihar… yes, we’re going to shoot the film completely on location in Bihar.”
Regarding Ruslaan replacing Salman, the younger actor says, “After Salmanbhai suggested that he take a younger actor for his role, the young director Abhishek Dogra changed the script.”
Earlier he had planned to sign Salman and two other actors from that generation. Now it’s 3 young actors Sharman, Jackky and Ruslaan.
“I’ve always modelled my physique on Salman, so it feels good,” says Ruslaan.

Sharman in Ferrari Ki Sawaari?

With Shah Rukh and Aamir backing out, Ferrari Ki Sawaari may turn out to be Sharman Joshi’s big Bollywood break

It was touted as the long awaited coming together of Shah Rukh Khan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. They had a number of false starts, the last being 3 Idiots.
But the film in question, Ferrari Ki Sawaari, after being offered to Shah Rukh, found its way to Aamir Khan. And even before this Ferrari could be green signalled, an altogether new man seems to be settling behind the wheels — Sharman Joshi.

While he’s a talented actor, Sharman hasn’t quite made the big league in Bollywood yet. Most of his appearances have been in multi-star projects. But after 3 Idiots, where he convincingly held his own against Aamir, the scales have tipped in his favour. And now Ferrari Ki Sawaari could be Sharman’s big break.
Our source says, “SRK was offered Ferrari Ki Sawaari but talks fizzled out. Then Vidhu wanted Aamir . However, the team at Vidhu Vinod Chopra Productions voiced their opinion — that only Sharman Joshi could do justice to the character. Talks are finally on between Vidhu and Sharman.

They have apparently already had a couple of meetings. Vidhu though still wants Aamir to do the film, but Aamir has been extremely busy with his three films, so actually there’s only an outside chance that he will do the film. It seems Sharman will, after all, get the major break he’s been waiting for, and he’s pretty excited by the prospect.”
Meanwhile, the official spokesperson of the film said, “We have just finalised our script and are still in the process of casting.” Sharman will just have to keep his finger crossed and hope Aamir and SRK’s loss turns out to be his gain.
