Looks like it could well be the time for Salman Khan to finally settle down. While Salman Khan is in Goa to shoot his upcoming home production, apparently he is spending a lot of us-time with alleged ladylove Iulia Vantur. Sources close to the star say that Sallu is even considering marrying the Romanian TV anchor.
Insiders from Goa say that while Iulia and Sallu are together in Goa, as reported in ‘Salman Khan’s new girl’ (HitList, May 7), the actor is serious about their future.
Our source says, “Bhai is extremely serious about his new girlfriend and she has been in his life for around two years but no one had got any wind of it. He is now being open about his relationship with her and people who are close to him are aware of her existence in his life. In fact, everyone is suggesting to Salman to get married to her, however, he is being mum about his plans.” Insiders also say that it would be no surprise if Salman finally announces Iulia’s presence in his life to everyone. The actor apparently met her during one of his trips abroad.

Our lensman Raju Shelar spotted Salman Khan shooting for an advertisement at Kamalistan Studio on Monday. Wearing khaki trousers and a white shirt, the actor was riding a bike under the blazing midday sun and a motley bunch of angry character actors wielding assorted weapons — hand pumps, frying pans, pedestal fans, megaphones, trumpets—were hot on his heels. But Salman played it cool and escaped without a scratch. It seems it is impossible to contain Salman, no matter how hard you try.

They are practically neighbours in Bandra Bandstand where both the actors reside. And looks like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were not many kilometers apart even while they were shooting for their respective films till recently. Sources say both the stars were in Goa till about two days back.
A source says, “ People shudder to imagine what would happen if SRK and Salman shared the same roof. It’s an unwritten diktat that when one enters the venue, the other would promptly leave. It came as a surprise to know that both of them were in Goa, busy shooting for their films.” So while Shah Rukh filmed for Chennai Express in north Goa, Salman shot for Mental in the south.
The source adds, “Production people who were managing the respective films knew about the presence of the other party. Salman wrapped up his work and is back in Mumbai now. SRK is still continuing with his schedule without Deepika Padukone. Thankfully, not once did either him or Salman cross each other’s paths.”
Rajkumar Santoshi to start the project by end of this year
Vickey Lalwani (MUMBAI MIRROR; May 20, 2013)
It is official. The sequel to the 1994 rib-tickler starring Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, Andaz Apna Apna is finally going on floors by the third week of December. Producer Vinay Kumar Sinha had approached Raj Kumar Santoshi, the director of the original, to helm the project and Santoshi, who has agreed to do the project, is likely to begin with the pre-production as soon as he wraps up Phata Poster Nikhla Hero which he is currently shooting.
Although the cast of the second installment of Andaz Apna Apna is yet to be finalised, there are effort to get part of the original cast on board. Vinay Kumar told Mirror, “We will be discussing the project with Aamir and Salman. It would be great if that works out. Otherwise, we’ll sign up some other actors to play the lead.”
Mirror has also learnt that Sinha has roped in Ram Mirchandani, co producer of Vicky Donor, to head the production unit for the film.
Explaining why he chose to make a sequel to the film after 19 years, Vinay Kumar said: “People were asking me to do a sequel ever since the film became a hit. At that time, I was not too sure, if the Indian audience is ready for a second part. But, now the time is ripe. Remakes and sequels are in vogue. ”

Salman Khan has reached out to his friend Sanjay Dutt’s daughter Trishala. The actor, who visited Dutt’s residence on Wednesday night, has called Trishala and told her that he will always be there for her. Though Dutt has not spoken to Trishala for over a-month-and-a-half, Salman has been in constant touch with her. A source said, “Salman was in America when the news of Dutt’s conviction broke. The first person Salman called was Trishala who has been away from her father for a long time. Sallu promised to be there for her whenever she needed him.”
Trishala, it is learnt, did try calling Dutt on Wednesday night, but there was no response. The two have a long distance father-daughter relationship. Sanju had met Trishala in the Bahamas in 2008 when he was shooting for Blue.
In the meantime… The media circus below Sanju’s residence Imperial Heights, reached a crescendo on Thursday afternoon.
Members of the press were informed that the actor would leave for the Sessions Court between 12 noon to 2 pm. Bombay Times brings you pictures of the distraught Bollywood star and his family members as he left his residence for the court.

After keeping the media on its toes for around two months, Sanjay Dutt finally left his Bandra residence to surrender to the TADA court and commence his three and a half year jail term.
There was a frenzy that ensued as everyone — media persons and common man alike — gathered wanted to catch a last glimpse of the actor being driven away to the court.
Dutt left his Pali Hill house around 1.30 pm and reached the court in the presence of the waiting media.
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, his sister Priya Dutt and his wife Mnayata accompanied the 53-year-old actor.
As Dutt’s car screeched to a halt, Bhatt disembarked first, requesting the media with folded hands to make way for Dutt to make his exit. And as the actor reached the court, the formalities began for his surrender.
B-Town bids farewell
Earlier in the day, his close friends from the industry including Bunty Walia, Apoorva Lakhia, Kiran Kumar, Soham Shah and Rahul Aggarwal visited Dutt.
Before he left his Imperial Heights residence, the actor chose to spend some precious time with his kids Shahraan and Iqra and his weeping wife. Earlier in the week, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan also came in to visit Dutt.
The Supreme Court in its March 21 verdict awarded five years’ imprisonment to the actor for illegal possession of arms.
The apex court on May 14 refused to grant him more time to surrender. On May 10, the Supreme Court had dismissed Dutt’s plea seeking More >

Who needs a reason to celebrate Mother’s Day? While several members of tinsel town were present along with their moms at an event to mark the day at Bandra fort, strangely Sonakshi Sinha gave it a miss.
Though the invite for the day distinctly mentioned Sona’s name among the celebrities gracing the occasion, the actress apparently refused to come out of her vanity van parked at the venue and left without meeting anyone.
And apparently it had something to do with the presence of another B-Town actress at the same party.
Our source says, “Sonakshi was not informed by the organisers that Kangna Ranaut would also be a part of the event. While she reached the venue on time with her mother Poonam, one of her staff members informed her that Kangna was also present at the event.”
Change of heart
Sona apparently was already looking irritated when she came in and lost her cool, even refusing to step out of the van in spite of the organisers pleading to her. She didn’t exit the van until the event was over.
Surprising, since Sonakshi is known to be extremely professional and people who have worked with her consider her as completely tantrum- free.” Industry insiders say that Sona’s no-show could have been because of the two actress’ close connections with Salman Khan.
The source explains, “While Sona and Kangs actually do not have any history, the bone of contention is Salman. While the actor gave Sonakshi her first Bollywood break, More >

Celebrated lensman Jagdish Mali, who was known by the less-informed only for his portraits on Rekha, passed away at noon on May 13. Bombay Times was fortunate to get some exclusive pictures shot by Jagi. A couple of months ago, the photographer was put in an embarrassing spot when a segment of the media reported that he was going through bad days. Fortunately, in his lifetime, he managed to regain some of his lost glory in print. Jagi lost his battle with life after he suffered a fall and was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital. His actress-daughter Antara and son-in-law Che Kurien paid him frequent visits in the last week. The news of his death came as a rude shock to the Bollywood celebrities whom he had photographed in his halcyon days.
In his four-decade-long career, Jagi had a wide and illustrious portfolio. His father was an artiste and Jagi, who grew up in the middle-class bylanes of Bandra East, started his life shooting unusually sharp pictures of everyday life. Fate, of course, had other plans. Celebrities sought him out and got him to shoot their pictures because his camera often spoke more eloquently than he did.
Fastidious and moody like most artistes, Jagi would only shoot when he was inspired. While one will have to publish a tome to show his entire life’s work, the image that comes to mind as Jagi’s trademark shot is the black and white photograph of Aamir Khan’s Ghulam poster that shows the actor packing a More >

Salman Khan’s underproduction film Mental will soon see a change in name.
Apparently, the star is not very happy with the title and is looking for an alternative one.
A source informs, “Salman is not very keen to continue with a quirky title like Mental as the film is being addressed as presently. Sohail Khan who is directing the film has been looking at various options and the crew has been suggesting different names. Recently, Salman informed Sohail that he is not keen to continue with Mental and wants a different title now.”
A source from the crew adds, “It was never meant to be called Mental and it was always a working title. Some one got the whiff of it and the media has ever since been reporting that. However Salman and Sohail were always clear that the film would be called something else.”
Sohail remained unavailable for comment.
Shaheen Parkar (MID-DAY; May 9, 2013)
Ever since Rajkumar Santoshi worked with Salman Khan in his 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna, the filmmaker and the star have always shared a special bond.
Santoshi made Salman do a special appearance in his 2009 Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif starrer Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Salman has now also done a cameo in his upcoming film Phata Poster Nikla Hero starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz being produced by Ramesh Taurani.
Says a source, “It was Santoshi’s idea to have Sallu in the film. He wanted it to be a surprise element but nothing remains a secret in Bollywood when the rest of the cast starts talking about it. Santoshi told the producers about his idea and they left it entirely to him to co- ordinate with Salman. And there was no way he could have not fulfilled his wish.” For a while now there has also been buzz that Santoshi was keen to make a sequel to Andaz Apna Apna with Salman and Aamir Khan.
Adds a source, “Salman was keen and has even expressed his desire to revisit the comedy but with both the filmmaker and he busy with their other projects, the sequel is on the backburner.”
Another filmmaker who is special to Sallu is Sooraj Barjatya. Their association goes over two decades ago — since his Maine Pyar Kiya days. When Barjatya’s niece Vidhi Kasliwal directed Isi Life Mein, Sallu readily did a cameo in her film.
