The actor’s dislike for using his hands to touch food almost borders on OCD — and he has no qualms about admitting it

Ajay Devgn has a bizarre fetish that is now bordering on an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The actor cannot eat, rather will not eat anything with his hands. He insists on using a fork and a knife to eat just about everything on his plate; be it chicken, bhajjiyas or even a dosa!

It gets better. The actor, who played a rustic in his much acclaimed film Omkara would ask for a fork and a knife if you served him a roti smeared with ghee. His OCD stems from his utter disgust for smelly fingers.

Food, especially Indian, (imagine prawn curry) when eaten with the hands leave some amount of smell on the hands, no matter how well-scented the handwash is. And at restaurants, they dilute even that with water!

Ajay Devgn has a phobia of that reminiscent odour. According to a reliable source in the industry, on the sets of his films, he makes it a point to use a fork and a knife to eat almost everything.

And he is paranoid about cleaning his hands even after using them. So much so, that he would even avoid shaking hands with a person who he knows has not used a knife and a fork; God help a woman with long nails!

It was a picture perfect moment to see him, down on his knees to be the same height as the group of children around him, lost in a world that was just theirs and his for that short time. The ace cricketer, who is currently in the city for a match, took time out from his hectic practice schedule to spend an evening with kids with life-threatening illnesses from the NGO Make A Wish Foundation at an event hosted by the Yuvraj Singh Foundation. “Say cheese,” Yuvraj urges the kids to smile at the cameras. “This is the least I can do to fulfill the wishes of these children. The latest couple in Bollywood is Rock On!! director Abhishek Kapoor and actress Kim Sharma. Kim, who has dumped all plans to marry her Spanish boyfriend, singer Carlos Marin, said, “I’m definitely not getting married in February 2010 (as reported earlier).”

In the last two weeks, Abhishek and Kim have been spotted painting the town red at several restaurants, coffee shops and nightclubs. They first met through a common friend and instantly clicked. Abhishek’s fling with Kamal Haasan’s daughter, Shruti Haasan is over. “He was close to Shruti till the last month but their relationship has fizzled out,” said a source.

“Now, Abhishek is totally smitten with Kim. And yes, Kim likes him a lot too. They are spending a lot of time together these days. Even when they aren’t together, they are either talking on the phone or texting each other,” added the source.

Both Abhishek and Kim have had their share of affairs. Kim had a torrid relationship with cricketer Yuvraj Singh for four years and after their break-up has seldom been single. Meanwhile, Abhishek has been linked with several actresses in the past.

Although Kim refused to comment on her current relationship, Abhishek said, “I know this is a cliché but Kim and I are just good friends.”
