Your next is with Ram Gopal Varma. He does not have hits to his credit and people have written him off. Why work with him? • Despite all that you said, he is someone who has been a trend-setter. He has given the industry films like Satya, Company, Sarkar, Rangeela and many others. No one can ever write a filmmaker off and specially someone like Ram Gopal Varma who have given the industry so much. I was bowled over by his Department script and I decided to do it immediately. I think I will get to learn a lot from him as well as Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt who are also a part of the film.

You have been linked to your co-stars all the time. • I don’t get affected by them because I know what the truth is. Frankly film PR is very new in India and not many really know how to market a product innovatively than just resorting to link ups or controversies. It’s a learning curve for all of us in the industry. All my link-ups have been film co-star oriented. You now guess how much truth there is then in those gossips. I would hope that people see and remember my work and not my link-ups.
