She’s been grappling with the decision to bare her mind about her tryst with Dibakar Banerjee. But now she has decided she wants to have her say. In a no holds barred conversation, she reveals her version of what happened between them, during their short four-month friendship.
Payal says a few months ago she sent an SMS to Dibakar, introducing herself and asking to meet him. According to her, since then they’ve been friends. “You could also call him a mentor.” She adds they’d often talk about relationships – his and hers. “I spoke about my problems (split with Rahul Mahajan), and he’d talk about his marriage not working. He cannot compete with Charlie Sheen for a troubled life, but for local stardom via reality TV he has done well for himself in using infamy as currency.
It all started with the drug overdose scandal in which he almost died, months after his dad was assassinated by his uncle. This brought in the tabloids. Shortly after Rahul was accused of bashing up his pilot wife Shweta.
This made him eligible for the newly-introduced concept of reality TV here. During Bigg Boss he was obsessed with Payal Rohatgi and Monica Bedi, the former moll of Abu Salem.
Flash forward to another reality show in which Rahul was offered a line-up of prospective brides to choose from.
He chose Dimpy the girl you see in these picture but soon she too, in July this year, raised a lament that he had been physically abusive.
Within three days, a Michael Jackson-lookalike doctor, Sachin Patkar, was conjured as the saviour of this troubled alliance.
Raju shindeRahul and Dimpy were working on their collective stress levels, audiences of this ongoing saga were told.
From what we see here, at a public ceremony to celebrate their ‘first wedding anniversary’, at which press was obviously called, Rahul and Dimpy look a far cry from allegations of bashing up. Wonder if the Michael Jackson-lookalike ‘doctor’ was breakdancing to Billie Jean in some corner…

Reality just got more lurid on TV. Ashmit Patel, whose only claim to fame has been riding on getting cosy with women on camera (remember his MMS episode?), allegedly had sex with Veena Malik on Bigg Boss 4, if an ex-contestant is to be believed.
As if viewers weren’t already fed up with an overdose of the Ashmit-Veena intimacy, here’s a new twist to keep the tale alive.
An ex-contestant, on the condition of anonymity, spills the beans. “Most of the contestants were irked with all that Ashmit and Veena did in the house. Hum sab unke saath baith nahin paate thay. Everybody would feel awkward in their presence. Sirf gale milne jaisi sadharan baat nahin hoti thi. I remember, they were given the task to guard the diya kept near the swimming pool, and we saw them snuggling in the quilt. Us din zaroor kuch hua tha. And of what I’ve heard, many viewers felt the same. It was all so disgusting. One of the key reasons for my exit was their growing intimacy. I’d requested Bigg Boss to evict me from the show. Will Sangeeta Bijlani agree to be locked up in the house?

All kinds of rumours are doing the rounds about who will be in the Bigg Boss house. Now the latest is that Sangeeta Bijlani has been approached. The channel is looking for controversial people and even if Sangeeta hasn’t been controversy’s child herself, the men in her life surely have — whether it’s husband Mohammed Azharuddin, who was recently linked to badminton player Jwala Gutta, or ex-boyfriend and show host Salman Khan. Will Sangeeta agree to be part of the show is the big question.
“It seems unlikely. But what does it take for the channel to approach her… at least it creates some sort of a buzz,” says an insider. The channel’s also in talks with actor Ashmit Patel because of a past MMS controversy and his family feud. Veena Malik and Neetu Chandra are also on their wish list and so is Jackie Shroff (what’s the controversy here?). Some of the other celebs likely to be in the house are Manoj Tiwari, Chunky Pandey and Sneha Ullal among others.
Dimpy Mahajan, who married Rahul Mahajan on a reality show, walked out of the house after he assaulted her, and then patched up with him again, has been confirmed too. And guess what? Former superstar Rajesh Khanna may be in the house too! So we just might get to hear his ‘I hate tears’ line if a contestant ‘breaks down’ which often is the case on this show!

Reality bites. But there are also reality bytes up for sale these days. After the recent controversy involving herself and troubled hubby Rahul Mahajan, Dimpy Ganguly Mahajan will be seen is a special episode of the upcoming show Meethi Choori No1.
Incidentally the special episode will be about Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega and Dimpy is the part of the show along with a few other girls who participated on the show.
Our source said, “The show deals with the concept of bitching and what better way than to have Dimpy and the other contestants who lost out on her. Dimpy got married to Rahul and the others lost so they will have lot of things to bitch about Dimpy.

It was Thursday evening, Saumasri Ganguly, known to the world as Dimpy Mahajan, was pleading on the phone. The familiar and assuring voice of her mother was all she needed to break down. “I am all alone here ma, even baba (father) is not supporting me.”
By Thursday evening it was obvious, a battered, bruised Dimpy was fighting a lonely battle.
A family of extremely modest means, the Gangulys had played their parts during her closely followed reality TV marriage. They had taken a leap of faith once, but seemed to fight shy of doing it again.
They wanted her to go back to Rahul Mahajan, the man they believed truly, madly, deeply, loved her.

Dimpy Ganguly walks out of Mahajan’s home, alleges he beat her regularly

Rahul Mahajan’s second wife, Kolkata model Dimpy Ganguly, left his Worli house in the early hours of Thursday after what she has described as a night of violent abuse.
Mumbai Mirror met up with Dimpy at Dadar on Thursday, just hours after she left Rahul’s house vowing never to return. There were bruises on her shin, right and left hand, while her left cheek was swollen. There was also a lump on her head.

Since the phone had the key-pad lock on, Rahul was unable to operate it.
When Dimpy asked him to let her sleep, he flew into a rage and began hitting her. She said he punched, kicked and dragged her by her hair.
When she could not take it any more, Dimpy pushed him, picked up her phone, ran down the stairs and hid in the passageway. This was 3.30 am. Dimpy then called a friend, who picked her up around 4 am.
Her father arrived at Rahul’s house at 4 pm after she related the incident to him over the phone. That’s when she returned to the house, packed her bags and left.
