Sonam bruised on sets of Players
0It seems Sonam Kapoor is falling off time and again, which has resulted in her getting hurt. Sonam was shooting a song, choreographed by Bosco-Ceaser, with Abhishek Bachchan in Goa for Abbas-Mustan’s Players.
A source from the unit reveals, “In the song, Sonam is suppose to fall off from the stage on her hand, and unfortunately, it didn’t happen as the choreographer wanted. They made her fall off the stage over 17 times, to get the shot correctly. Result- Sonam ended up bruising her hand.”
The source adds, “Apart from falling and bruising herself, Sonam barely slept, since it had been raining all day long and that disrupted the shooting schedule. To get the perfect lights she had to wake up at 3am to deliver the shot.”

The groom to be, Vishal Shah, belongs to a diamond trading family. Neha and Vishal have been dating since four-and-half years, and now they have decided to get married.
Neha Oberoi with her fiance Vishal Shah“Neha tried her best to make an impression in Bollywood, but her debut film Woodstock Villa bombed. At present, she isn’t thinking much of a career in Bollywood; she is happy to tie the knot and settle down. If a nice, plum offer comes her way in future, she might take it up,” says a source.
Confirming the news Neha said, “Yes I am marrying Vishal shah. I’m not likely to do any more films in future. I have got into fashion designing and I am looking forward to open my own store.”

Katrina wants to Kill Bill
0Katrina is actually training for her first full-on action role being described as “a blend of Kill Bill, Lara Croft and our own Zakhmi Aurat.” Says a source close to Katrina, “Kat has been working out with her trainer Yasmin to get a fully-toned physique.
It’s for an out-and-out action film that she will star in and produce in the middle of next year. She has already got the director on board and will take two months off next year to train in three styles of martial arts.
She has already met the right trainers abroad. They will join her in the first-half of 2011 to get her prepared for the role.”
Though an out-and-out female-oriented film Katrina will ask her friends Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor to play cameos in the film. Says Katrina, “I wanted to do a kick-ass action flick for the longest.
Not too many such roles are written for actresses in our cinema. I don’t want to play the action girl with a masculine kind of physique. I want her to be sexy, yet athletic and agile. I am working on it.”
Kareena: An actress of a different kind
1An actress will always speak about her hits and rarely about her flops.
On the contrary, Kareena Kapoor is proud and speaks about her flops openly. Sounds confusing right? Well Kareena admits that she gets a different high when her films flop!
She said, “Having a blockbuster is a great feeling and especially when your character is appreciated. However, I am also happy if sometimes my films flop, as flops ka bhi maaza kuch aur hai. It is also the fact that I have always given importance to my performance than my hits.
In this industry you can stretch only to a certain limit but after that you have to be an actor to sustain. We are here to sell our talent and that is one thing which will always be with me forever.”
Now that’s the spirit Bebo!
Agent Vinod gets delayed
0Saif Ali Khan’s ambitious home production, Agent Vinod, has a spot of bother. The entire November schedule of the film has been called off
Vickey Lalwani (MUMBAI MIRROR; November 17, 2010)
Agent Vinod is unlikely to release in June. As things stand today, it will be pushed by about three months at least. Reason: the November schedule of the film has been entirely cancelled.
While the buzz is that there are some production issues between the co-producers Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijjan (they have had their big share of problems as reported by this paper on August 3, 2010 ), the director of the film, Sriram Raghvan, chose to speak on the matter instead.
Sriram Raghavan Saif Ali Khan
Admitting the fact that the November schedule of Agent Vinod stood cancelled, Raghvan had a different reason to tell. “The reason why we aren’t shooting in November is because I wanted to concentrate on the exhaustive action sequences which we are supposed to shoot in January 2011.”
Added Raghvan, “We have some great action scenes in the film, which we shall be shooting abroad. We have some mind-blowing physical confrontation between Saif and Kareena too. The cancelled schedule had all indoor scenes, which can always be shot at a later date.”
When asked if wouldn’t the November schedule cancellation would postpone the film, Raghvan said rather optimistically, “I hope not.” Saif and Vijjan did not revert back to our calls and text messages.
Two States in a Bad State?
0Despite the Anjaana Anjaani debacle at the box-office, the Nadiadwala-Anand duo was planning Two States starring Saif and Piggy Chops. Turns out that it’s not happening
Vickey Lalwani (MUMBAI MIRROR; November 17, 2010)
Sajid Nadiadwala and Siddharth Anand were collaborating again, despite the fate Anjaana Anjaani met at the box-office. The film was to be an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s popular book 2 States.
What’s more, the duo even managed a coup of sorts by getting Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra on board for the lead roles. The latest is that the film is in a bad state, unlikely to ever go on the floors.
Last week Nadiadwala had second thoughts on backing the film. On Sunday evening Saif told Anand that he wouldn’t like to do this film. Nadiadwala, Anand and Saif had a very long and serious meeting on the film yesterday at Saif’s house.
Saif having second thoughts on the film comes a surprise because Saif himself had motivated Anand to make a film on Bhagat’s novel.
When contacted yesterday evening Nadiadwala put up a brave front, saying, “Yes, Anand, Saif and I met up today afternoon. But we have sorted it out and I am back to producing it.”
Anand was however frank and forthcoming. He said, “Right now, everything is up in the air. We are trying to figure it out. It was never concrete even earlier.”
When probed on Saif’s second thoughts, Anand said, “Kisika pucca nahin hai. We may drop the idea altogether. Agar screenplay crack More >
Devgn says ‘Jaa’ to Jha?
0The actor has walked out of Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan
Kunal M Shah (MUMBAI MIRROR; November 17, 2010)
Ajay Devgn has walked out of Prakash Jha’s much talked about film Aarakshan. Apparently Ajay was not very happy with his role in the film coupled with multiple projects on his hands; he has decided to opt out.
The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpai and Deepika Padukone is now in a fix as it goes on the floors in January.
Our source said, ‘Aarakshan is Prakash Jha’s most ambitious project till date. It is also a difficult film to make. Ajay was not very happy with the way his role had shaped up after the final draft and he told Prakash Jha that he would not like to be a part of the film.
Jha, being a friend of Ajay’s, understood his point of view and they both decided that they would work on some other film in the future.
Ajay himself is on a high as after Golmaal 3 and four back-to-back hits, and he has many offers from the industry.”
The source further said, “In the recent past too, there were many rumours that there were issues between the two over Ajay’s role in Raajneeti as Ajay was not happy. However this time Ajay didn’t want to take any chances and he opted out of the film.”
Ajay Devgn was shooting in London for Tez and remained unavailable for comment. However Prakash Jha said, “It is just a rumour and don’t believe it. I just spoke to him about the dates and Ajay is very much a part of the film.”
Kiran Rao’s handwritten invitation for Dhobi Ghat press conference
0Aamir Khan might be the most powerful marketing wizard in Bollywood right now, but his wife is certainly climbing a rung above him in this department.
For her debut film, Dhobi Ghat, Kiran Rao will personally write postcards to friends in the media and online fans of the film. These postcards will serve as the invitation cards for a first press conference which will unveil the look of the feature.
Our source said, “Each and every card will be personally written by Kiran. The film based in Mumbai is about the city, its essence and the people of Mumbai. So each card will have a picture about Mumbai.
The notes will also have Kiran’s personal experiences of the city. These postcards will be despatched to a select list every week until the release of the film.
The first batch of postcards will be invites for previews of the film, which will commence Nov 17.”
When contacted, an official from the production house said, “Yes, Kiran will send snapshots every week in the form of a postcard.” How cute and quaint of you, Kiran.
