After four years, Himesh Reshammiya is making a comeback as a music director and that too with Vipul Shah’s sequel to Namastey London. Interestingly, the original was the last film that Reshammiya worked on, in 2007, before his decision to compose music exclusively for the movies he was cast in.
Our source told us, “Himesh was a on a roll as a music director and then as a singer. However, when he decided to compose music only for the films he was in, the entire industry was shocked. Now finally, after almost four years, he is back.
Namastey London was his last film for an outside banner as a music director. He will work on Namstey London 2 with Vipul and Akshay. Though Himesh still hasn’t decided whether he’ll be singing for the film, he already has a repertoire of around 500 tunes.”
The source added, “The music will be under Himesh’s recently formed music banner HR Musik. While Himesh might have abandoned his decision to do music exclusively for films he was cast in, he has decided that he will only do films under his own music company.
Himesh Reshammiya had been an extremely successful music director in the last decade with big musical hits like Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge (2000). Humraaz (2002), Tere Naam (2003), Aitraaz (2004), Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005) and More >
Now a sequel to Namastey London
0Akshay Kumar has managed to convince Vipul Shah for a sequel to Namastey London. But they are keeping it a secret from Katrina Kaif

Vipul Shah, who has steered clear of sequels to his own hits, has now been persuaded by Akshay Kumar to make Namastey London II.
Though the filmmaker is ready with the script, co-written with Suresh Nair, the actor and director are still keeping it a secret from Katrina Kaif.
Reveals Vipul, “Doing sequels are not my cup of tea but they seem to be a trend now. More than me Akshay was keen to do a sequel to Namastey London. He felt the story had the potential to be carried forward. I couldn’t disagree with him beyond a point.”
And we hear, even Katz was constantly pushing Vipul to plan a sequel of Namastey London and apparently she is the one who would be taken by surprise with a ready script. “Would you believe it, I still haven’t told her about the sequel to Namastey London? She has been urging me to do the sequel for the longest time.
When she hears that we’ve been secretly working on the script for the past three months, she will come down to my house and kill me. Please don’t tell. I want to surprise her,” requests an excited Vipul as he wanted to make sure that the script works out before taking Katz into confidence.
The 2007 box-office hit Namastey London was a drama about a Punjabi munda, Akki, wooing and winning over a stuck-up British-Asian lass, Katz.
