Bebo is angry. And Boney Kapoor’s film Milenge Milenge is to blame. The film is finally releasing and the promos are on in full swing. But Kareena, the leading lady of the film, is upset about Boney Kapoor using the line `They are back together’ in the promos.
It is obvious that Kareena wants to stay as far away from her ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor as possible. Hence, something that merely suggests that she and Shahid were once together, has miffed her.
Kareena is also feeling cheated because she went out of her way to help Boney Kapoor finish the film. Our source says, “Kareena and Shahid broke up long ago and the film was stuck for various reasons. Before Boney decided to release the film, Kareena had to help him by completing the leftover dubbing. She also did a photo shoot for the promotion of the film so it does not look dated.
Shahid, on his part, shot for a music video. But Kareena was shocked when she saw the promos that read `They are back together’, as though reiterating the fact that they broke up and have now patched up.

Kareena told a couple of friends that it was not fair that despite helping Boney complete the film and facilitating its release, he did this. She is pretty upset about it.”
Kareena remained unavailable for comment. However, when contacted, Boney Kapoor said, “There are all kinds of rumours floating about and there is no truth to this. Kareena even did a photo shoot with us and she has not said anything to me about being upset.”

Kareena to team up with Hollywood hottie Matt Damon

The FIFA World Cup 2010 to take place in South Africa between June 11 and July 11 is the biggest event in the world sporting calendar. And all eyes are on it. Bollywood music composers Salim-Sulaiman will be composing a song and performing live at the opening and closing ceremonies of the gigantic sporting event with South African singers Loyiso Bala and Eric Wainaina.
However, the coup actually is the news that Bollywood’s reigning diva Kareena Kapoor is in talks with the FIFA event managers. Insiders say that Bebo, who has a very tight work schedule, is actually taking time off for a music video for the FIFA event alongside Hollywood hottie Matt Damon.
It is indicated that the action around this music video is big, with the budget surpassing anything that Bollywood has ever seen or done before. And besides apni Bebo, other Hollywood superstars who will participate in the video are Kevin Spacey and Jessica Alba.
Kareena, who is participating in the last day shoot of Karan Johar’s remake of Step Mom at a Mumbai studio, is said to be currently working out her dates, costumes and other details with her core team. “Expect an announcement with all details shortly. The Hollywood-Bollywood relationship is getting stronger with each passing day. And this video could well be one of the majorly touted ones since it carries heavyweights from both sides,” said an insider.
Mugdha’s ex bf to her rescue?

One of the first people Mugdha Godse called after her accident was ex-boyfriend Mithun Purandare; now they are on talking terms again

Mugdha Godse’s car accident on Wednesday at Versova was traumatising for the actress, but it has also brought her ex-boyfriend, model-cum-actor Mithun Purandare, back into her life. They have not reconciled, but are spending time together.
The patch-up happened when she found herself in trouble after the accident, Mugdha turned to Mithun to come to her rescue.

Though their split wasn’t ugly (reported in Mumbai Mirror on November 4, 2009), the two hadn’t kept in touch. This is the first time that Mugdha connected with Mithun after their break-up.
A source close to the actress says, “Mugdha doesn’t have many close friends in Mumbai. She just didn’t know what to do when the accident became a police case. She needed a man by her side. This was the first time that she was facing such a big problem. She feared that things might go against her at the police station and the only man she could trust was her ex-boyfriend Mithun.”
Within a few minutes, Mithun was there like a knight in shining armour. After she went home from the police station in the night around 1.30pm, Mithun accompanied her. They spent a lot of time chatting with each other in the night. It was evident that they still care for each other.”

Mugdha did not deny that she had called up Mithun on Wednesday night. “Well, I called many friends. Mithun was one of them,” she says diplomatically.
Mugdha and Mithun had first met in 2003 during the shoot of a music video, directed by ace photographer Jagdish Mali. They were dating for nearly five years before things started going wrong in early 2009 because they had different priorities and temperaments.
Mishap on Badmaash Company sets

Shahid Kapoor averted a major mishap on the sets of Badmaash Company when a chandelier crashed inches away from co-star Anushka Sharma

Chandeliers have been a regular prop in Bollywood. People have periodically swung off them or the really ornate ones are used as embellishments to add to the already opulent décor. Anushka Sharma will always remember the prop with a shudder. On Sunday evening, Anushkha, who was shooting a music video for Parmeet Sethi’s Badmaash Company, escaped a chandelier catastrophe at MT Studio in Andheri (East).
Shahid and Anushka, under the supervision of choreographer Ahmed Khan, were moving towards a pre-decided spot almost underneath a huge chandelier. To everyone’s shock, the chandelier suddenly came crashing to the ground. It would have gravely injured Anushka if it hadn’t been for Shahid’s quick reflexes – he managed to push the utterly petrified Anushka out of harm’s way.

Said choreographer Ahmed Khan, “Sasha (Shahid) didn’t push Anushka away. He pulled her towards himself just in time. Actually, it was partly my fault. My instructions went a little awry. Anything could have happened. I hope we finish the song without any more problems. This is the third mishap on the sets.”
For her part, Anushka said, “Shahid reacted very quickly. Luckily no one was injured.”
But the real-life hero played down the incident. “It was nothing major,” said Shahid.
Incidentally, this is the second time within a year that Shahid has come to his leading lady’s rescue. During the shoot of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey, Priyanka Chopra was driving a scooter with Shahid as the pillion rider when she lost her balance and fell. She could have sustained a major face injury if Shahid had not buffered the fall with his hands.
“It’s what anyone would have done, given the situation,” said Shahid.

One question Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is constantly asked in most interviews is whether he plans to have another child. And Ajay has never shied away from admitting that if destiny wills it, he will be more than happy to add to his family. Now news has it that Ajay’s gorgeous superstar biwi Kajol is reportedly pregnant. And, the Devgns are all in a very upbeat mood. Insiders say the family was in a dual celebratory mode on March 12 when they all met at a birthday dinner for Ajay’s sister. The handsome Bollywood couple’s first born Nysa will be seven on April 20. And everyone knows that both Ajay and Kajol give their daughter top priority over everything else in their lives. Kajol has wrapped up her talkie portions in Siddharth Malhotra’s Hindi version of StepMom with Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. There were clear discussions on the set that the shooting could not be extended under any circumstances. The actress, who was recently seen in Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan, has also finished the major portions for Kumar Mangat’s Toonpur Ka Superhero with husband Ajay. It is said that Ajay, who returned to Mumbai after a three month-long outdoor for his various film shoots, is now keen to shoot in and around Mumbai only just to spend time with his wife. The actor couldn’t make it to the recent Filmfare Awards night because of his busy work schedule but he did send Kajol to the function with absolutely strict instructions to return home in half-an-hour.
Kajol’s sister Tanisha and Ajay’s first cousin Vickey accompanied the actress to the event. And Kajol, who looked resplendent in a red sari and was absolutely enjoying the buffonery of her favourite co-star Shah Rukh Khan with Saif Ali Khan on stage, made sure that she left the awards ceremony within the time stipulated by her husband.
Insiders say that the promotional track of StepMom that was to be shot later is being wrapped up from March 20 in Mumbai because Kajol is participating in the song shoot. The film is slated for a July release and sources say the music video could very well have been shot later. However, keeping in mind Kajol’s decision not to do any work after March, the track is being shot now. BT wishes Ajay and Kajol love and luck. We could not be happier for the couple.
Bebo-Shahid wont promote Milenge Milenge together

Plans for bringing Kareena and Shahid Kapoor together to promote their pending project Milenge Milenge have been called off. It has now been decided by producer Boney Kapoor that the pair will promote the film individually. This, to avoid Kareena who’s in a committed relationship, any embarrassment and awkwardness, although Shahid who had no objections to collaborating with Kareena on the promotion seems unaware of these developments.
When asked if he’d be willing to promote the film jointly with Kareena, Shahid says enthusiastically, “Yes, I’ll do everything I can to promote it. Of course I’ll do everything in my power to see the film gets properly released. It’s my film.”
Shahid says he has no problems whatsoever promoting the film with Kareena. However, producer Boney Kapoor feels it’s wiser and more discreet to let Shahid and Kareena do separate promotional work.
Says Boney, “We’re getting Shahid and Kareena to do separate promotional activities. That way we give them space to be comfortable with the situation and also we get twice the amount of publicity for Milenge Milenge that we would if the pair promoted the film jointly.”
Shahid has not only decided to go all-out for Milenge Milenge, he has also been taking interest in the release date to ensure that it releases at a time when it is likely to get the best audience.
He recently had a meeting with producer Boney Kapoor and they mutually agreed to postpone the release from April to later during the year.
Says Shahid, “We met and took a joint decision. Boneyji was co-operative. Otherwise I’d have had three releases-Milenge Milenge, Paathshala and Badmaash Company-in one month.”
Boney says he’s getting Milenge Milenge ready for release in the last week of June or the first week of July. “Milenge Milenge would be Shahid’s last release until his father’s film Mausam. Kareena and he look gorgeous together.”
In fact Shahid is enormously enthusiastic about Milene Milenge. Last week he met the film’s director Satish Kaushik. Says Satish emotionally, “Though we live in the same building Shahid and I never meet! I know him from the time he was a child. On Saturday night, we bumped into each other in our high-rise compound after a party. We spoke for nearly an hour about Milenge Milenge. Shahid told me the project is very dear to him and that he would go all out to promote the film however my producer Boney Kapoor and I wanted. Shahid is at our disposal. He also asked me to update him on music video shoot.”

Ranbir-Katrina shoot extra scenes for Raajneeti

When Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif met for a shoot on Monday, it was just like old times when they shot for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti last year.
The twosome was fiercely competitive when they shot for the two films. So it was when they shot again together on Monday.
The competitive spirit has taken over Raajneeti in a big way. Both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif see the film as a passport to the National Awards. With stalwarts like Naseeruddin Shah, Manoj Bajpai, Nana Patekar and Ajay Devgn in the cast, the young stars of the show have decided to pull out all stops to ensure their performances are noticed at the right places.
All efforts are now on by Ranbir and Katrina to ensure optimum audience participation in Raajneeti. A music video, only a part of which will be included in the film and the rest used for promotion, is to be shot.
Says the director Prakash Jha, “We certainly don’t want to pitch Raajneeti as a dry political drama. Ranbir and Katrina are big commercial stars. We want their fans to see our film as an entertainer. At an edited length of about 3 hours’ playing-time, we want viewers to be glued to the edge of their seats. I wouldn’t call it a multi- star cast film .I’d call it a multi-actor film.”
With the Ranbir-Katrina jodi being hotter-than-July, a certain amount of spicing up is certainly the order of the day. And the hit jodi is more than willing to shoot extra days to ensure the product gets them maximum attention.
On Monday, Ranbir and Katrina did some additional shooting for Raajneeti at Mona Shourie’s Future Studios long after their dates for Raajneeti had dried up.
Ranbir Kapoor just back from Las Vegas rushed to the shooting. close-ups and continuity shots were shot with the two. A sizzling music video featuring Ranbir, Katrina and Arjun Rampal is also on the cards.
So who says politicians can’t dance? Says Prakash, “We did some patchwork shooting on Monday, close-ups, etc. Yes. It’s for the betterment of the end-product. We all want Raajneeti to be a big success. Katrina and Ranbir have surrendered themselves completely to the project and will do whatever is required.”

Shahid-Kareena to come together for a music video for Boney Kapoor’s Milenge Milenge

Kareena and Shahid Kapoor together again? No way! That was the first reaction when one first heard about the new lofty plans ahead for the long-delayed Kareena-Shahid starrer Milenge Milenge, based on the 2001 Hollywood romcom Serendipity.
Boney Kapoor and Satish Kaushik have just got ambitious about this delayed project. Not only are they shooting a new beginning for the film, they’re set to shoot a music video to promote the film for which they will bring together the now-estranged couple Shahid and Kareena Kapoor.

The buzz is that producer Boney Kapoor has already asked the actors (who don’t speak to each other) to do the music video. Apparently, both Shahid and Kareena have no qualms about being thoroughly professional for the film’s sake.
“Didn’t they shoot the Mauja hi Mauja item song in Jab We Met right after their split? So why wouldn’t they shoot a song for a music video, especially since it’s for the benefit of a film that stars the two of them? Himesh Reshammiya has recorded an outstanding track. Both Shahid and Kareena love it.”
When questioned about the rumour about Kareena andShahid coming together for the music video, producer Boney Kapoor is guarded, “Himesh’s track would entice anyone. Yes, I’ve asked Kareena and Shahid. I’m sure they’ll do it.”
The film’s release has been pushed forward from February to March-April so that this very special Shahid-Kareena music video can be recorded. Says Boney, “We have almost everything in place. Only the first reel is not ready. We need to shoot a prologue with a very big female star who will narrate the love story between Shahid and Kareena. And, of course, the music video.”

Bollywood stars join Mumbaiites in 26/11 music video

Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Yash Chopra, Boman Irani, Nandana Sen, Neha Dhupia, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mugdha Godse, Ramesh Taurani, Gul Panag — just a couple of Bollywood log who will be part of a special song-cum-music video dedicated to the 26/11 terror attacks. The video, conceptualised and produced by Viraf Patel, directed by Arjun Sablok and composed by Monty Sharma, will go on air on the 26th itself and will also feature the aam junta — Mumbaiites from all stratas of society and all walks of life — besides the Bollywood brigade.
“The song will be interspersed with the stars and the people giving out their own personal, heartfelt messages, the crux of which will be ‘I am Indian’, ‘Main Hindustani Hoon’, ‘Main Bharatiya Hoon’… the variations of the same statement is a deliberate attempt to reflect the diversity and unity of India. Although the terrorists struck Mumbai, every Indian was affected. The aftermath was pan-Indian. The idea of the single is to stir the emotions of every Indian,” says Viraf of the music video which will be aired on all television channels.

Katrina Kaif to sing for AR Rahman. That too in relatively pure Hindi

Self-proclaimed bathroom singer Katrina Kaif is all set to sing professionally…and that too for composer AR Rahman.
The album in question is the Rahman-composed children’s album of nursery rhymes and inspirational songs that the composer will release early next year.
Initially, Katrina was only supposed to be part of the music video but now after watching her progress at the box-office, Katrina has been asked to sing a few songs in the album. It was initially suggested that Katrina sing Rahman’s compositions in English but now she will be seen singing in Hindi. This despite the fact that she has a heavy British accent and is just beginning to learn Hindi.

Katrina says, “Why not? I’m always game for new challenges. Singing in itself was a challenge because I’ve never sung professionally. Singing in English would’ve been a convenient challenge. But I’d rather take the uncomfortable route. So why not me singing in Hindi?”
For someone who couldn’t speak a line of Hindi when she came entered Bollywood Katrina sure has come a long way.
She adds, “Somewhere down the line, I got tired of people commenting on my Hindi. I guess I’ve been working hard on it.”
As Katrina gears up to sing for AR Rahman she has already started practicing. Hard.
