When contacted, Advani was not very forthcoming about starting up his own production house, telling us, “It is too early to talk about my banner and starting my production house.
I am excited about starting my new film with Anuja Chauhan. Anuja and I have worked together extensively on many ad films.
I loved Zoya Factor and Battle of Bittoria and so I wanted her to write an original screenplay for my film. I had this idea and Anuja is writing it. It’s going to be a love story, scheduled to go on floors in the middle of this year.”Anuja Chauhan

B4U Films is proud to announce they have teamed up with renowned film production and music company T-Series along with Mukesh Talreja’s People Tree Films, Twinkle Khanna’s ‘Hari Om Productions’ and Zoeb Springwala’s Bugle Boy Films for the release of the anticipated hit film of 2011, Patiala House.
Patiala House which stars Akshay Kumar, Rishi Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Dimple Kapadia, is one of the most highly anticipated big budget films of 2011. Produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series along with Mukesh Talreja’s People Tree Films and Twinkle Khanna’s Hari Om Production, the film has been getting a lot of inquires and offers for various circuits in India for distribution rights.
Though the producers are having active discussions with quite a few distributors and sub-distributors for Patiala House, they won’t be signing on the dotted line as auspicious dates will start only after Jan 14 (post Makkar Sankriti).
For the UK territory however, the deal is already signed with B4U Films for an extremely good price. Talking about the deal, Bhushan Kumar, Managing Director – T-Series, states, “B4U have proven to be one of Bollywood’s major platforms, and for this reason, T-Series are proud to be teaming up with B4U for the release of Patiala House. I am certain that this is the start of a successful long-term working relationship, and I look forward to working with B4U for our forthcoming films More >
The Bollywood Khiladi enters 2011 with a big ticket film
Meena Iyer | TNN (BOMBAY TIMES; January 3, 2011)
T-Series and People Tree Films’ Patiala House is one of the first big ticket films of 2011. Bollywood’s original Khiladi, Akshay Kumar, is excited about it because it has the right dose of emotions and entertainment. Shot extensively in the United Kingdom, Nikhil Advani’s Patiala House is Akki’s first release in 2011.
The film is being talked about for various reasons: one of them being the fact that Akshay and the fresh-from-the-praise-for- Band Baaja Baraat girl, Anushka Sharma, are steaming it up together. This is also the first time that Akki’s gorgeous ma-in-law, yesteryear beauty Dimple Kapadia, plays his mother on screen. And Rishi Kapoor plays the iron-fisted patriarch in this story of a Sikh, joint family.
Yes, Patiala House that releases on February 11, showcases four generations of the Kahlon family who live together, in a suburban house in London. Besides dealing with the emotions of a joint family, their joys and sorrows, the film should strike an immediate chord because it also talks of India’s main religion — cricket. It tells you how a 34-year-old ex-cricketer who sacrificed his dreams for his father’s ideals is given a second chance to fulfil his ambitions.
Says Nikhil, “The essence of Patiala House is pursuing your dream when life gives you a second chance. Here Akshay happens to be a cricketer, but he More >

The showdown has been averted! ACTION REPLAYY and PATIALA HOUSE, both starring Akshay Kumar, were supposed to release in the same month – November. While Vipul Shah had confirmed ACTION REPLAYY for 5th November, Nikhil Advani and Mukesh Talreja were keen on bringing PATIALA HOUSE on 19th November. However, the film-makers of these two films had left the decision on Akshay Kumar, who was supposed to take a call after completing his shoot in Manali.
Well, the suspense is finally over. While ACTION REPLAYY is confirmed for Diwali [5th November], thus clashing with GOLMAAL 3, PATIALA HOUSE has been shifted to next year. The film will now hit the screens on 11th February 2011.

The rumour mills are working overtime. While a spate of Akshay Kumar starrers are expected to hit the screens in the second half of 2010, starting with KHATTA MEETHA [next Friday], ACTION REPLAYY [5th November; Diwali], PATIALA HOUSE [19th November] and TEES MAAR KHAN [24th December], everyone’s curious to know whether ACTION REPLAYY and PATIALA HOUSE will indeed arrive in the same month. While the producers of both ACTION REPLAYY and PATIALA HOUSE are sticking to the date, there’s talk that PATIALA HOUSE might be shifted ahead, to February next year.
However, PATIALA HOUSE producer Mukesh Talreja denies the development outright. “We are waiting for Akshay to arrive. We did speak with him, but he had to leave for Manali and hence, we couldn’t sort this issue out. All I can say right now is that there’s no question of a postponement. We are firm on 19th November. Definitely not February next year. Yet, we will take a call in the next few days,” Talreja clarifies.

While on new releases, there is tremendous speculation about the release date of Vipul Shah’s ambitious venture ACTION REPLAYY. While the release date of Akshay starrers KHATTA MEETHA [23rd July], PATIALA HOUSE [19th November] and TEES MAAR KHAN [24th December] have been locked, the release date of ACTION REPLAYY continued to remain a mystery. But Vipul has finally confirmed the date: It’s Diwali, 5th November.
Here’s a pertinent question: Will two Akshay starrers release in a span of two weeks? This writer spoke to producer Mukesh Talreja [PATIALA HOUSE] yet again, while writing this news-piece, and he re-confirmed 19th November as the date of PATIALA HOUSE. “We will have a joint meeting with Akshay and sort out the issue,” Talreja states.
So, as of now, ACTION REPLAYY will battle it out with GOLMAAL 3 on 5th November [Diwali]. Get ready for fireworks!

SHARIN WADER BUTANI Times News Network (BOMBAY TIMES; April 8, 2010)
The verdict is already out. Top filmmakers of Bollywood have rated Warner Bros Pictures and People Tree Films Pvt. Ltd’s Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai even before it can reach theatres tomorrow. Riteish Deshmukh, who plays a sweet Gujju boy and Jacqueline Fernandez, the girl from Venus, in the film directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Mukesh Talreja and Nikhil Advani, are surprised with the feedback they’ve got. Here’s what the gurus had to say…
DAVID DHAWAN: JKSAH is a wonderfully fresh and entertaining romantic comedy. The humour made me laugh and the romance touched my heart. Riteish is exceptional in the movie and excels in comedy and emotion. Jacqueline is not only gorgeous but her performance as Tara, the girl from Venus, wins your heart too. As a director, Milap has done a superb job. JKSAH is a funny and a sweet entertainer.
FARAH KHAN: JKSAH is an unusual rom-com. It’s young and traditional at the same time. I had a great time acting in it and watching it. Of course it would have helped if they had put me on the posters! Riteish has given a very honest and endearing performance and Jacqueline looks beautiful and has acted wonderfully in her second film.
SAJID KHAN: It’s a film which will connect very entertainingly with the youth. Riteish has always been fantastic in comedy but his More >
