Has Shahid Kapoor opted out of Bejoy Nambiar’s film?

While trade sources suggest that Shahid Kapoor has walked out of Bejoy Nambiar’s next, the director insists otherwise

It looks like Shahid Kapoor is still reeling from the Mausam effect. Post the debacle of Teri Meri Kahaani, Shahid was in the news for walking out of Maneesh Sharma’s film due to date problems. Now sources from the trade say that Sasha has walked out of Bejoy Nambiar’s next as well.
However, director Nambiar slams the buzz stating, “Of course, we are doing the film.” In the meanwhile, trade sources say that since the actor is known to take more than usual interest in his films, Bejoy was left rather displeased. And this led to the both parting ways.
However, Shahid’s closeness to the film’s co-producer Mubina Rattonsey (also executive producer in Kaminey) could ensure that he remains a part of the project. A rival tabloid had reported on their relationship some months ago.
Bejoy on the other hand is currently busy working on his next David with Vikram, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Vinay Virmani. His film with Shahid has been slotted post that. Sasha is also said to be preparing for his projects with Rajkumar Santoshi and Prabhu Dheva.

Some may say turning 30 isn't all that great. But add a year to it, and Shahid Kapoor will tell you how to turn 31 in style. The actor, who is busy celebrating his 31st birthday in Goa, has once again proved that boys in Bollywood, do know how to have all the fun.
While Atul Kasbekar has been busy uploading pictures of the birthday boy on his social networking profile calling them #ShahidGoanCrazy, Mumbai Mirror has found out what is really going on at the four day and three night long bash in Morjim beach.
The actor, who took off to the party destination a couple of days before his birthday on February 25, will be returning to Mumbai on February 28. And as the pictures reveal, Shahid is not the only one who is having a ball in Goa. He has also planned a big bash for his close friends from school and the Hindi film industry. In fact, he had even asked the DJ to play at a stretch from 9 am in the morning to 3 am the next day.
And that's not all. Shahid had even instructed his manager to ask all the guests about their food and beverage preferences. This, despite Shahid being a teetotaler himself.

Ritesh Deshmukh takes his role as Genelia D’Souza’s ‘close friend’ very seriously. With the success of the actress’s South film Urumi, Ritesh has requested a special screening of the film for him in Mumbai.
Producer of Urumi Mubina Rattonsey, who is a good friend of the actor, is organising a screening soon. Genelia’s ex-flame Shahid Kapoor will also be amidst the selected audience.
A source said, “Genelia’s film Urumi has become a super-hit in the South. Ritesh is highly impressed.
He is proud to hear all the praises being sung over her performance and is really looking forward to watch the film. Both Ritesh and Shahid have tweeted praises of Genelia.”
When contacted, Mubina claimed, “I will be having serveral screenings for the film fraternity, not only for Ritesh and Shahid.”.

We recently broke the story on February 25 that Piggy Chops had fled to the US, to get away from the disappointing turnout of 7 Khoon Maaf and her erratic relationship with Sasha.
Even though, the actress left on a sour note with Sasha, he decided to wave the white flag and plead with her to return home for his birthday. Unfortunately, no attempts to convince her seem to have worked.
A source tells us, “After their most recent difference in opinion, Priyanka left for the US with the main purpose of avoiding Shahid’s birthday. However, they both regretted their headstrong nature, which tends to drive them apart every now and then.
When the time of the birthday bash approached, Shahid began missing her and implored Priyanka to return.”
The source went on to add that Sasha persistently tried to convince Piggy Chops to come back right until the morning of the party.
A mutual friend of the couple tells us, “One of the main problems is that Shahid does not express his feelings and Priyanka likes to be told she is special.

Not only is she not going to be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next, but the actress has also escaped the backlash by taking the first flight out of Bombay, to the United States. Some are calling it an ‘emotional rehab’.
The director of 7 Khoon Maaf, Vishal Bhardwaj, and actress Priyanka Chopra seemed like a perfect director-and-muse combination with the success of Kaminey (2009).

A picture speaks a thousand words. Both Shahid and Priyanka have tried their level best to convince us that they are single but this moment caught on camera proves they are anything but.
The cosy twosome were spotted on Sunday afternoon in Durban enjoying the T-20 match between India and South Africa.
One must bear in mind Priyanka’s remark on Karan Johar’s chat show. When asked about the one thing she would like to know, Piggy said, “Whatever’s on Shahid’s mind.” But it’s evident in this picture that even with dark glasses on Piggy can see right through her lover’s eyes.

Chops is in detox mode. After a hectic schedule, which might have involved some healthy doses of partying, the actress has felt a need to cleanse her body and soul at an exclusive resort in Himachal Pradesh.
Now that a patch-up with Shahid has taken place, she is perhaps ready for a newer version of herself.
On Friday, Priyanka departed from Mumbai to enroll at Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh. Her friend, Mubina Rattonsey, executive producer of Kaminey, is accompanying her. Priyanka and Mubina’s friendship had gone sour when Priyanka had parted ways with Shahid Kapoor.
Priyanka had a feeling that certain comments about Shahid that she had shared with Mubina were reaching him, and she had confronted Mubina about the same. However, the two girls patched up in August this year. Now they’re both detoxing in the hills to wash away the bad vibes.

After impressing his viewers as Shahid Kapoor’s friend in Kaminey, Chandan Roy Sanyal has bagged a role debutants could only dream of.
Chandan has been signed to play the negative lead in Santosh Sivan’s next film Urumi. Chandan will play an evil prince in the 15th century.
When contacted Chandan said, “Yes I am very excited about the film. My executive producer Mubina Rattonsey of Kaminey recommended my name to Santosh.
I play an evil prince and am against my cousin, who is dating a princess (Genelia D’souza); I keep trying to win her over.”
Apparently, Amol Gupte, who was seen with Chandan in Kaminey as well, will now be playing his uncle. And they hate each other (in the film that is).

Tonight, hottie Priyanka Chopra is headed for an all-girl beach holiday. Her close friends Mubina Rattonsey and Shrishti Arya and a few others are accompanying her on this much-deserved break.
Interestingly, the ladies in question are in no mood to reveal where they’re headed. While her friend Shrishti says, “Undisclosed destination would be a good term to use for my holiday,” Priyanka says, “I love to be away from the bustle. But I am a Cancerian. I’m a water baby. You can’t keep me away from the ocean. So I am off to an secret location.”
Obviously, it’s a beach. And think about it. Priyanka has always been a beach person. In September 2009, she went to Bali and Koh Samui. On her return, she had raved, “I was being a complete beach- bum, I used to just sit around and sleep on the beaches.”
