John Abraham surprised buddy Akshay Kumar with a high-end motorbike to celebrate the success of their last release together. And in return, Akki has penned a sweet and touching note for his pal. HitList tells you word-to-word what was written in the special letter…

‘Johnny Donor’ is riding such a high wave right now, that he is thankfully not Donating his sperm but Donating an awesome bike to me in celebration of our huge Hit ‘HouseFull 2’… I can count on one hand how many genuine gifts I’ve been given since my time in this Industry. John’s, I must say, means a lot; not because it’s a Bike (though it helps) but because I know how much it means to him giving it to me.

It’s not exactly common to find two such Actors that have the kind of care & respect that both John & I share, it’s no secret that Actors find it hard to see eye to eye. Why he calls me Guruji I’ll never know, why I feel so protective & brotherly towards him he’ll never know. I’m glad you’re here, I’m proud of your struggles & what you’ve achieved, & I’m touched by your kindness today & always… I wish you a lifetime of happiness & a family of your own that loves you more than you have ever loved your Bikes (and we all know that’s a lot of Love ;o)

John Abraham gifts superbike to Akshay Kumar

Apparently, John Abraham had promised Akshay Kumar that he will gift him an expensive two wheeler after the success of their third film together

Looks like John Abraham is someone who likes to keep his promises, especially to his good friend Akshay Kumar. Buzz is that taking into account the success of their third film together at the box office, Housefull 2, John is gifting Akshay a high-end motorbike.

Having first worked together seven years ago, in Garam Masala, the two actors have become fast friends. John had apparently promised Akki that if their third film together works well, he would buy him an expensive bike. Now, word is that the two-wheeler will be delivered to Akshay on Tuesday.

Promises to keep We heard that it was during the shooting of their second film, Desi Boyz in London that John discovered Akshay’s interests in bikes. “It was after John got his own motorcycle transported from Mumbai to London for the shoot that he learnt about Akshay sharing similar interest in two-wheelers. A few months later, John promised to gift Akshay a bike to celebrate their success (of their third film) together,” recalls our source close to the hunky actor.

Katrina sprains neck in Spain

While shooting for Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, Katrina Kaif accidentally sprained her neck

Shooting away from home has its ups and downs. The team working on Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara discovered this recently. While rains have hampered work on several occasions since the unit’s arrival in Spain earlier this month, it now seems there are other hurdles awaiting the crew.

On Monday during a session in the gym the film’s leading lady Katrina Kaif sprained her neck. Though she tried hard to sound brave about the mishap it was obvious she was in great pain.

Wincing and hardly able to talk Katrina said, “I don’t know how it happened. I’ve been spending more time than usual in the gym since there’s no other leisure activity here. Sometime during my session in the gym on Monday, I twisted my neck. Now I can’t move it either left or right.”

There was naturally a wave of concern among the cast and crew. Everyone was wondering if she would be able to shoot since she has plenty of rugged outdoor action sequences to perform.

Says the actress, “No matter how, I have to keep shooting. We can’t afford to lose time. Zoya is a very accommodating director. But I can’t take advantage of her niceness.”

In fact Zoya is Katrina’s second female director after Farah Khan (Tees Maar Khan), who Katrina is working with. While Katrina didn’t quite hit it off with Farah, Zoya and she are quite friendly.
