The actress is under fire from critics for the her steamy act on small screen

Sakshi Tanwar, Bade Acche Lagte Hain’s Priya Kapoor, feels her bedroom scene on the show was blown out of proportion. “My serial hasn’t brought sex on TV. In fact, bold content existed when I hadn’t even started working on TV. In our show, the scene was the outcome of a gradual progression of a mature relationship that was eventually consummated. Though, I agree that it is perhaps one of the longest of such scenes, shows like Maryaada also had similar scenes. In fact, ours was not even the first liplock on television, as it is claimed out to be, so why blow it out of proportion?” she asks.

The actor, who started off as Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’s Parvati Bhabhi, says, “I was initially apprehensive about doing this scene since I belong to a conservative family. The creative team took a lot of time to convince me and even I took a lot of time to convince my family. I spoke to my sister who helped me the most, as she talked to my mom and dad about it. Once I was prepared, it was like any scene. The way it was depicted was very beautiful and aesthetically done. I didn’t get negative feedback from anyone,” says Sakshi.
