Titled Madras Cafe, the film will have Nargis play the role of a UK-based journalist and sources say that the actress has already started her prep work on it. She will be visiting several studios too, to meet the reporters and get a hang of their style of functioning,” says the source.
The actress who had gotten a mixed response for her debut film opposite Ranbir Kapoor has taken both the appreciation as well as the criticism in her stride and is trying to work on her diction and acting skills. “She undergoes voice training classes, is working on her accent and honing her acting skills too. She is very serious about her career here and is not shying away from hard work at all,” adds the source.
As for the long break between her first film and the second, another source says that though Nargis did have offers in hand post Rockstar, she didn’t want to sign on anything and everything coming her way. “Since she is trying to make it here completely on her own, she is being rather choosy More >

A holidaying Ameesha Patel is currently having a blast in Paris and London with her business partner Kuunal Goomeer and his wife Shammli. The actress is excited that her endorsement — Glamstar glasses — will be available in almost 200 stores all over India by April 2013.
According to sources, “A lot of money has been spent in promoting the brand as the people behind the product feel that once it gets into everyone’s mind it gets easier to sell it and has a greater impact in the market.” Adds the source, “The Glamstar brand has Ameesha in a sexy look which has been loved by all as well as shocked quite a few. Her new sexy image has created loads of controversies.”
When quizzed about the controversy, Ameesha’s reply was straightforward with a long laugh, “When I know I’m sexy why feel shy about it? Especially when your look is portrayed in a classy way. People who are talking about my sexy look can’t digest change. They are the people who feel they aren’t probably as lucky as you are. I’m very grateful to God and I’m happy that once I reach Mumbai, I will get busy with my back-to-back schedule starting with Singh Sahab The Great and then Bhaiyaji Superhit in January. Post that I will start my home production which has been delayed for eight months due to my busy schedule.” Ameesha’s next release will be Race 2 that’s scheduled to release in January 2013.

The surge in malaria and dengue cases has prompted the actor to keep Natasha and his babies safe in London
Subhash K Jha (MUMBAI MIRROR; October 30, 2012)
Seven years after they got hitched, Fardeen Khan and Natasha are expecting twins anytime in April. However, with Natasha already in London and more importantly, the wave of dengue, malaria and typhoid riding Mumbai, the proud papa-to-be is in no hurry to return to maximum city. He’d rather have his babies born in London.
Talking to Mirror from London, Fardeen said, “We’ve waited very long for this. Both of us are naturally very excited. Parenthood is a natural progression in a couple’s married life. It feels like a dream. However, Natasha can’t travel in her condition. So it’s wise to let her stay in London. Secondly, I don’t want her or the twins in Mumbai at the moment, what with dengue, malaria and typhoid going around. I feel they’re better off here. My wife and the twins will travel back only when the twins are strong enough to make that journey.”
Natasha has been in London with her mom, actress Mumtaz, since November last year. Fardeen, who has been travelling back and forth between Mumbai and London, will be back in India at the end of November. With his wife feeling safe and secure with her mom, Fardeen doesn’t have to worry about her while he is in Mumbai.
Said the actor, “It’s been a very hectic time. Natasha has just undergone the three-month scan and since the doctors said all was fine, I tweeted about the More >
Most Pak artistes who sing for Hindi films record their songs outside India
Piyali Dasgupta (BOMBAY TIMES; October 24, 2012)
Roping in Pakistani singers to sing for Bollywood movies is nothing new, but it is still very rare to find a Pakistani artiste recording a song in India. Most of them record their songs in Pakistan, Dubai or London, and that too, via internet tools. While some artistes believe that it is more economical to record songs in Pakistan, some believe that issues like visas and permissions come in the way. BT talks to some of these Pakistani artistes to understand this process.
I WASN’T CALLED FOR THE RECORDING Arif Lohar, who gained popularity in Bollywood with tracks like Jugni-Dum Gutgoo (see right) from Cocktail, says, “Jugni was already a hit, so it was because of the popularity of this song that I got entry into Bollywood. When I was offered to sing for Cocktail I didn’t know the recording schedule. Unhone kaha ki bas aap gaana bhej dein phir hum usse film mein fit kar lenge. I wasn’t called to Mumbai to record the song. Humne Lahore se hi hamare gaane ka thoda sa modified version banakar music composer ko de diya.”
WE DON’T KNOW WHICH ACTOR WE ARE SINGING FOR Shafqat Amanat Ali (left) says that most often, the singers are told about the situation of the song, but not who they are singing for. He tells us, “It is sometimes difficult to modulate the voice according to a song requirement as we don’t know whom we are singing for. Most of the times More >

Sources tell us that as soon as Saif Ali Khan wraps up the current schedule of Race-2, he has plans to fly to London to order suits for himself. Are the suits to be worn at his October wedding? Well, Saif says all questions pertaining to his marriage are actually encroaching on his and his beau Kareena Kapoor’s private space. So he refuses point blank to answer them.
However, one heard from an insider that the Nawab of Pataudi has always preferred to do his personal shopping in London and is expected to spend some time in UK around September 17.
