Although every star is doing one film at a time, most of them have been booked till the end of next year

Leading the pack is is the workaholic Akshay Kumar, who has half a dozen films lined up for the next 12 months, followed by Ajay Devgn with five. Interestingly, Aamir Khan, who doesn’t listen to a script till he’s free of his pending assignments, has two more films after his suspense thriller Talaash that is slated to release on November 30.

Akshay Kumar He has started shooting Khiladi 786 with director Ashish R Mohan and has two more releases this year — Shirish Kunder’s next Joker and Special Chabbis, Neeraj Pandey’s heist flick based on a 1987 incident in Mumbai. What is also noteworthy is that he’s taking a month-long break in July, for his son Aarav’s vacation. He will then complete Khiladi 786 which is also his co-production with Himesh Reshammiya and start working for Milan Luthria’s sequel to Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, followed by Ghajini director A Murugadoss’s second Hindi film. Besides, he’s also doing the remake of the Telugu film Ko with Prakash Jha next year.

Salman Khan He is working for Arbaaz Khan’s Dabangg 2 and has planned his 2013 with buddy Sooraj Barjatya’s new film Bade Bhaiyya and youngest brother Sohail’s next Sher Khan.

Ajay Devgn Currently juggling the shooting of his production under the aegis of Ashwni Dhir (Son Of Sardaar), is also overseeing the post-production of his other film, Bol Bachchan, helmed by Rohit More >

Blue Director to remake Ko with Akshay?

Over the last few weeks there have been strong rumours making the rounds around Akshay Kumar being mighty fascinated with Tamil hit Ko which released in April this year. While grapevine has it that FOX and R.S. Infotainment are collaborating with Akshay Kumar and the film’s original leading lady Karthika Nair to remake this political thriller in Hindi, the latest piece of development is that Anthony D’Souza (aka Tony) has been roped in as a director who has earlier made Blue with Akshay.

The truth though is that this is far from true. “No, I am not working on the remake of Ko“, Tony responds in a matter of fact tone.

It has also been suggested that A.R. Rahman would be composing the film’s music. The rumour was further ignited since Akshay, Rahman and Anthony had earlier collaborated for Blue as well.

“When I haven’t even met Akshay and Rahman, where is the question of them coming on board”, says Tony in an exasperated tone.

His exasperation comes with valid reasons. Just a few weeks ago there was another speculative news piece that had floated around Akshay and Tony collaborating for another action film. That too had turned out to be hoax with a prompt denial coming from Tony.

“I have no clue from where have these rumours originated. The fact though is that there is no movie finalised yet”, Tony sets the records straight.

Hope that should quieten up the rumour mongers.
