One hears Kareena Kapoor has blocked 180 days for the two Karans in her life — Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra. A trade source says Karan Malhotra’s next Shuddhi with his Agneepath hero Hrithik Roshan is likely to go on floors late this year. And the lead pair Hrithik and Kareena will keep 180 days reserved for this project.
Saif making travel plans for Kareena’s birthday in September?

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor believe in working hard and playing hard. The couple take off for holidays two-three times a year. Their annual holiday to Gstaad aside, the couple has just returned from Mauritius (with his mom and sisters) and now they are heading to Los Angeles for a brief spell.
Not just that, the actor is already planning Kareena’s birthday. This will be her first birthday after their marriage, so he wants it to be memorable. Ideally, he would have wanted to keep this a surprise but he had to discuss it with his begum because he needs to keep her date diary free to travel on those days. Says a source, “Saif loves to travel and he takes great pain to plan their holidays. This year he has decided to take Bebo to Italy for her birthday on September 21. The 10-day holiday will have the couple travelling in a totally relaxed manner. No maids, entourage or army of assistants. They will rent a car in Rome, and then drive everywhere. If they have time they may also make a trip to Venice.” When on a holiday, the duo forget their diets and workout regime and gorge on all the local delicacies a city has to offer. In an industry where affairs are momentary, it is lovely to see a couple so committed and in love with each other after over half a decade of being together.
Kareena-Lovely drift apart due to misunderstandings created by common friends?

Ironically, while friendship has been an abiding theme in Hindi films down the years, real such alliances don’t seem to last very long in the industry. The latest being Kareena Kapoor and producer Lovely Singh, once known to be the best of buddies, no longer share the same camaraderie.
It’s been a while since they drifted apart but neither of them has come out in the open, till now. “Things are not the same between Kareena and me. We are not much in touch. I guess we are both extremely busy with our work,” Lovely said when quizzed by Mirror. After a pause, he added, “If you really wish to know anything further, let me tell you I was not even invited for her wedding.”
Asked what drove them apart, Lovely refused to divulge details. However, we spoke to sources close to the duo and found that a few common friends had managed to create misunderstandings between them.
A source close to the Kapoor family revealed: “Even Kareena’s mother Babita did not approve of Lovely. She felt he was beginning to wield too much influence on her decisions about her life and career.” Apparently, that’s when Kareena started distancing herself from Lovely and this upset him since it was he who stood by her when she parted ways with Shahid Kapoor and went through a particularly low phase.

Kareena Kapoor refuses to do Zoya’s film without Ranbir Kapoor?

Buzz is that Kareena Kapoor is doing a rethink on Zoya Akhtar’s film. The actress was approached to essay the role of Ranveer Singh’s sister in the film. The project was initially planned with Ranbir Kapoor — the reason why Bebo agreed to play his sibling in the film as they are first cousins. But with Ranbir out and Ranveer in, Bebo does not apparently want to be part of a project.
Says a source, “When Zoya began writing the script, she thought of getting Kareena and Ranbir together in the film. Kareena was extremely excited to play his screen sister. But with a change of plan, she is having second thoughts now.” Adds the source, “The project is presently in the scripting stage and Zoya has already sounded off the actress.”
Yet again
It therefore looks like Ranveer’s dream of working with Kareena will take a while. They were earlier slated to work together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela. Bebo had opted out of the project citing date issues after which Deepika Padukone was pencilled in. It appears that for Zoya’s film too she will apparently pull out the date issue card.

Ajay Devgn-Kareena Kapoor in Shabina Khan’s next?

Kareena Kapoor will team up with her Omkara and Golmaal Returns co- star Ajay Devgn once again in Shabina Khan’s film. The designer-turned- producer is apparently in talks with the stars for her next project which is likely to take off next year.
A source says, “Shabina is in the process of signing Ajay Devgn. Details of the film are being tightly kept under wraps but the script has been locked in and a director is being pencilled in. The project will go on the floors early 2014.”
Adds the source, “As Shabina is a close friend of Kareena, she is keen to have her on board and she has given her nod to the project.” The source further adds, “Shabina shares a great equation with Ajay Devgn too. This project might also be co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Although she is also designing for several stars, Shabina now wants to focus on making films.”
Shabina earlier co- produced the Akshay Kumar-starrer Rowdy Rathore with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She is also co-producing Gabber with Akshay Kumar which is the remake of the South film Ramanna.
Kareena refuses body double for a stunt; gets injured

Over the past few months, several Bollywood actors have been in the news for performing their stunts. More often than not, the reason cited is they want to stay within the character without losing on the thrill. Perhaps these developments inspired Kareena Kapoor to add her name to the list.
After all, while performing an outdoor scene for Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyar Mein, the actress decided not to opt for body double and do her own stunt. However, this decision sort of backfired as she got hurt in the process.
On Sunday, Bebo was shooting with Imran Khan and the sequence required the both of them to walk a tight rope — quite literally.
“Kareena was supposed to walk on a rope without being strapped. As is the norm with production, she was asked whether she will be needing a stuntperson to perform the rope- walking for her. But she insisted on doing it on her own so she went ahead with the shot,” says a unit member.
Interestingly, Kareena went on record last year saying Agent Vinod would be her last action film thus emphasising her dislike for this particular genre. What happened later that afternoon helps us understand why she is not very fond of action-related scenes.
“As she was carefully treading to maintain balance, her feet got scratched by the thick jute. The bruise seemed like a burn scar. On top of that, the hot weather wasn’t helping her case. But she made sure the scene was completed without much delay,” adds the More >

Kareena Kapoor Khan has been approached by Zoya Akhtar for her next film, which revolves around a brother-sister relationship. Ranveer Singh has been finalised to play the role of the brother.
Says a source, “On Sunday night, Zoya gave a three-hour narration to the actress at her Bandra home. The role is to die for and Kareena is extremely excited about it. Even her sister Karisma loved it, and is urging her to say yes. The film belongs to the leading lady and Bebo has been wanting to sink her teeth into a performance-based role for sometime now. She wants to be challenged as an actress. Another big incentive to do this film are the new energies. Bebo has never worked with Zoya before, except for the cameo in Luck By Chance. She likes the director’s past films and her sensibilities, so is trying to work her dates and somehow fit this film into her schedule.
Date crunch Kareena is facing a date crunch with the number of films she has lined up in 2013-14. Currently she is shooting for Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyar Mein with Imran Khan, after which she will start shooting for Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor’s joint production with Emraan Hashmi. Ajay Devgn packs up from Bhopal

Ajay Devgn has been camping in Bhopal for more than 45 days to shoot Satyagraha, along with Kareena Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. The gruelling schedule, which saw the actors shoot under some rather extreme weather conditions, finally drew to a close last afternoon. Contrary to reports, Ajay does not play a character inspired by Arvind Kejriwal, but an NRI entrepreneur who comes to India and turns to activism. The actor has been on location for almost all of the 45 days, barring a couple of days he took off to celebrate his daughter’s birthday and to promote Himmatwala. In these scenes, shot just before the film wrapped up, Ajay is seen delivering a rousing speech to an agitated crowd, and later attacked by water canons. A similar scene had been shot earlier with Amitabh Bachchan.

Our lensman Raju Shelar captured Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor shooting for Gori Tere Pyar Mein at Film City, Goregaon. An entire village had been recreated with a rope bridge hanging atop a lake. The scene has Kareena crossing the bridge and going over to the other side, from where she calls out to Imran, who seems rather scared of following suit.

Casting for any multi-starrer project turns into a veritable game of musical chairs. And Zoya Akhtar’s ambitious next is no different. The film, which reportedly has Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor on board, is being keenly followed because of the possibility of Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan being cast as siblings for the first time on screen. Their track is apparently based on the lives of siblings Farhan Akhtar and Zoya.
Now that Ranbir Kapoor is no longer a part of the project, and Zoya is not willing to wait for him to be free of his commitments, the focus has shifted to Ranveer Singh. According to a source close to the developments, Ranveer has been sounded out for the film and the actor is keen to grab the opportunity. “Ranveer missed out on working with Kareena in Ram Leela. This time he wants to make it work. Even if it means he does not get to play the romantic lead,” said the source. Zoya has so far refrained from confirming any of the reports about her film.
