All tickets were sold out with no room left even to stand. Another heartening fact was that the audience couldn’t stop laughing all through the 86 minutes of the film. It was followed by a five-minute standing ovation when the film ended, which was a rather unusual and overwhelming response by the Germans to our film.

I have done some really challenging films in the past and Road, Movie was no different. We endured the scorching heat of Rajasthan and in Berlin we are battling with the bitter cold but the audience reaction made up for all the hardships and have also reinforced our belief in making Road, Movie.

The ability of the film to connect with the audience world over regardless of its Hindi language only proves the universal theme of the film.
