Dayavan’s sizzling song incorporated in Hate Story 2

Remember the sensous song Aaj phir tum pe pyaar… picturised on Vinod Khanna and Madhuri Dixit in Dayavan? Director Vishal Pandya wanted this for Hate Story 2 as it was going with the situation in his film.

A crew member says, “Vishal discussed the idea of adding the song from Feroz Khan’s 1988 film Dayavan with Jay Bhanushali who is playing one of the leads in the film. Both were excited about it. Once they got the rights, they worked extremely hard to make it look great.

It was one of the most intimate songs shot between Vinod Khanna and Madhuri Dixit and since it was going with the theme of the film producer Bhushan Kumar and Vikram Bhatt agreed to use it in the film.

Bhatt says, “The craze and love that people had for this song was immense and we wanted to recreate the same magic. I am sure it’s going to refresh a lot of people’s memories and for the youngsters, they will surely associate with it in an all new way.”

The makers of Bigg Boss may not have announced the official list of participants for season six, we can tell you that model-turned-actor Shawar Ali and TV actor Jay Bhanushali have been roped in for the reality show on Colors.

And this negates the recent buzz that only couples were being approached for Bigg Boss this time. Incidentally, Shawar had been spotted having lunch with Salman at Filmistan Studios, when the star was doing a promo shoot there for the show. However, a while back Jay had told us, “I am not a part of Big Boss season 6.”

Shawar too had denied being approached for the show. A birdie also informs that both the actors were recently spotted chatting inside a coffee shop in Lokhandwala, Andheri prompting us to wonder if they were discussing their game plan for the show.

Mithun Charaborthy and Salman Khan have fun on the sets of DID

Actor Salman Khan was in a full-on masti mode when he dropped by on the sets of Zee’s DID L’il Masters recently with co-star Katrina Kaif, while promoting his film Ek Tha Tiger. And on the receiving end of this non-stop fun was Grandmaster Mithun Chakraborthy. Not only did Salman drag India’s original disco dancer into taking on a series of crazy challenges and stunts, he also made sure that Mithunda show his signature moves.

An onlooker reveals, “Salman made Mithunda climb up a slippery slope on the stage with his leather shoes on, even as he comically slid back down. Salman also got him to ride pillion with him on a kiddie bicycle and even cornered him into trying the ‘Slow-Mo’ style and catching him unawares by suddenly crawling right between Dada’s legs, leaving the veteran actor stumped and everyone else rolling with laughter.”

Master Geeta Kapoor reveals, “This was by far the most entertaining shoot experience on the show. Salman has done what no one ever managed to do across multiple seasons of Dance India Dance. No one dares to rag Dada! Only Salman could have pulled this off. He always brings such energy on the sets that it’s a pleasure to have him on the show.”

After a grand engagement, Mahhi Vij had a quiet wedding. Here she talks to Roshni K Olivera about life as Mrs Jay Bhanushali

Mahhi Vij, best known as Nakusha from Laagi Tujhse Lagan, had been dating actor Jay Bhanushali for a long time. There were talks of the two being secretly married too. But then they had a lavish engagement ceremony last year putting to rest all rumours. And just when everyone was wondering about their wedding date, we got to know that Mahhi and Jay had tied the knot. So when did it happen? And why was it so low-key, we ask the petite actress. Excerpts from the interview…

So Jay and you are married? Yes, we are.

When did you tie the knot? And why such a low-key wedding after a grand engagement? We got married this year, and it was a court marriage with just our family present. I had a big engagement ceremony and I got my chance to wear a lovely ghagra and jewellery. After working continuously for two years, I have just lost all patience and I didn’t have any patience to go through a reception! So we decided to keep it low-key.

Jay was okay with it? Yes, he listens to me (smiles).

Is it the same even now after marriage? Yes it is. He is a good husband.

And what about you? I give myself 100/100 as a wife. Now that I’m at home, I have been taking good care of him… his food, his gym routine etc.
