Vidya Balan back to work for hubby’s film

Before tying the knot with longtime boyfriend Siddharth Roy Kapur on December 14, Vidya Balan had made sure she wrapped up her portions of the shoot of Ghanchakkar. And now we hear, the actress will resume work on the film in the second week of January (barely a month after her marriage) so that it releases as per schedule on June 21. Clearly for Vidya, who had earlier maintained she needed some serious time to set up home with Siddharth, Ghanchakkar is top priority. More so because her husband is the CEO of UTV Motion Pictures, the film’s producers.
Director Raj Kumar Gupta confirmed Vidya will be resuming work in January for Ghanchakkar’s post-production. “She had wrapped up her portions of the film before her wedding. We will need her during the second week of January and she has told us she will resume work then,” he said.
A source told Mirror, “Vidya wants to make sure the film hits theatres on June 21 as planned, and work is not held up because of her. The film has been shot in sync sound. She will join the crew for the voice sync process where she will add her voice wherever needed. Thereafter, the film will get into editing mode.”
Emraan-Vidya to romance the rains

Rajkumar Gupta has rather ambitious plans. The director of Ghanchakkar wants to recreate the magic of the iconic song Rimjhim gire saawan from Basu Chatterjee’s Manzil with lead pair, Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi romancing the rains a la Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee. And to do that, he has pushed ahead the film by a month so as to start shooting beginning of August instead of the original September date.
Earlier too, the director had wanted to start shooting in August but Emraan vetoed the plan because of time constraints. It was only when Raaz 3 got postponed that Emraan agreed to the August shoot.
Gupta plans to use secret cameras to capture the two popular stars. “It is going to be difficult but both are used to shooting in crowded outdoors,” he said.
The director hopes to wrap up the entire shooting by December. “We haven’t got a release date as yet. But I am hoping it will be the 8th of any month in the first quarter of 2013,” Gupta said.
