Aditi Rao Hydari has sparkled on the silver screen every time she has faced the camera. No one can forget her act in her Tamil film Sringaram: Dance of Love that has won few National Awards too and in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Delhi 6 in which she played the docile sister of Sonam Kapoor. Now, Aditi is working with Sudhir Mishra, known for making critically acclaimed movies. Sudhir has cast her in a totally different avatar in Yeh Saali Zindagi and she is paired opposite Arunoday Singh, of Mirch and Aisha fame. She is sharing screen space with Irrfan Khan and Chitrangda Singh in the film. Aditi has also gone bold in the film as she passionately kisses her co-star Arunoday on screen. The film, which is a roller-coaster ride towards a shattering climax, sees characters fending for their lives and loved ones. The plot of the film is quirky as Arun (Irrfan Khan) has to save Priti (Chitrangda Singh) the woman he loves, but for that he first has to save the man Priti loves – Shyam, the future son-in-law of a powerful minister. Meanwhile, time is running out for Kuldeep (Arunoday Singh), the young gangster who is on his last job as his wife is threatening to walk out on him completely, and he begins to suspect she is leaving him to go into the arms of another man. Neha Dhupia in Entourage finale?

Neha Dhupia is likely to be seen in the next edition of the American comedy-drama TV series Entourage. The sexy siren, who was invited for the season that recently concluded, missed the bus because of date issues as she was busy with Bollywood shooting and some promotions.The offer to Neha apparently still stands from Entourage that will begin its eighth and final season this summer. A film is also being planned on the series. Says a source, “Neha is now hoping to make an entry into the eighth season, that is the finale. Her role is that of a hot Indian girl who sweeps the boys off their feet. Details of her characterisation has been kept hush hush.”

Yes, he’s already handy with his fists. Why not learn to throw in a few kicks as well! That’s what Olympic boxing champion Vijender Singh is thinking as he prepares for Bollywood. The handsome pugilist, who also has offers to act in Punjabi and South Indian films, is seriously preparing for his transition. “I always like to be prepared,” said Vijender. “When it comes to boxing, I want to know how my opponent is, how the crowd will be, and my plans are always in place to counter. Similarly, in the case of acting, I need to learn the craft and then get into it rather than make a fool of myself. I want to learn everything about the industry and not be a joke on screen or get criticised for being a bad actor or dancer or whatever.” Viju is taking acting lessons and also working on his diction. “There’s no harm in trying to improve,” said the sportsman who is used to interacting with people across the world. “One needs to be presentable, be a gentleman, nobody’s perfect.” His debut Bollywood film is an action thriller based on a terrorist plot. And, for that, the champion boxer is learning another sport — Karate! He, of course, refuses to divulge details. “My full concentration is on my boxing and when I’m not boxing, then I definitely want to act and walk the ramp or whatever. Akshay Kumar is sunny and confident about his Feb 11 release

Never mind 2010, everybody’s had their share of failures and losses, but how many have remained as cheerful and sunny at the start of 2011 as has Akshay Kumar? The Khiladi, who has always taken bad karma in his long stride, has reason to believe this will be his year. For the buzz is that Patiala House, his February 11 release directed by Nikhil Advani, which Akshay’s Hari Om Entertainment Co. has coproduced with T-Series and two other banners, is a film to be looked forward to. Akshay himself says, “I don’t know what the box office will say, but it is the best movie that I have been part of in the last eight years. I have always told people to leave their brains behind in my comic films, but here I would say — bring your brains and your hearts to the cinema.” On this upbeat note, BT spoke to the actor at home just after he had finished offering thanks to Lord Ganesh, the presiding deity. Bollywood believes 2010 was bad for you… I had a blockbuster, a flop and two average films. For any other actor it would be a fairly good year, but for me, where people expect a blockbuster with every film, it was just average. I have been making movies for 22 years and every year has just made me better at my job and at making money for this industry.

Unable to tackle his unprofessional behaviour on Zor Ka Jhatka, the production company asked Akashdeep Saigal to leave the show

Endemol India, the international entertainment-production company behind some of Indian television’s most successful reality shows, including Bigg Boss, Fear Factor, Deal Or No Deal and Show Me The Money, is getting sued by one of the contestants of the reality show, Zor Ka Jhatka which is hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.
A contestant, television actor Akashdeep Saigal, who previously had serious issues while shooting for two earlier reality shows, Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, got sacked for not reporting on the sets.
A source confirmed, “Akashdeep loves to make a splash on reality shows, if not by winning then by other means. Right from the first day he was the loudest and most flamboyant of all contestants. After a few days in Buenos Aires, Akashdeep suffered a rib injury.
He was advised to discontinue shooting for some days and to get off alcohol and cigarettes for 30 days. But he was partying right through. He took four days to let the injury heal. But on the fifth day he refused to turn up for the shoot. All the other contestants began to question Akashdeep’s absence.
Endemol representatives in Buenos Aires had no choice but to ask Akashdeep to return to Mumbai, but without cutting his due remuneration.”

Aamir Khan has done something that will certainly raise a lot of eyebrows.
He is extremely fond of his bhanja, Imran Khan, for whom he is hosting a wedding reception party at Taj Land’s End on February 5.
The party will be special for how many warring factions will be under one roof though.
Aamir has personally invited sibling rivals Mukesh and Anil Ambani. If that is not enough, he has personally invited Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan; everyone knows the equation between these two.
A source says, “Aamir has always wanted Salman and Shah Rukh to patch up. If you recall, he spent the entire night shuttling between Mannat (SRK’s residence) and Galaxy (Salman’s residence) when their fight took place at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party two years ago.
This could be just the occasion he might go the extra mile and make them warm up to one another.”
And what if either of them don’t attend or come at different timings? “How can that be ascertained now?” said the source. “Of course, most people from the industry have been invited.
Add this to Imran and Avantika’s close family members and the guest list looks rather impressive.”

Ximena Navarrete Rosete, a Mexican model, bagged the lead role opposite Salman Khan after she expressed her desire to be in Bollywood

If rumours are to be believed Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete Rosete is making her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in David Dhawan’s next Partner 2.
The Mexican model, who is on a 10-day tour to India to promote designer Sanjana Jon’s Celebrate The Girl Child Campaign, said in an interview that she is a huge fan of Salman Khan and expressed her desire to act in Bollywood movies.
A reliable industry source reveals, “Ximena will romance Salman Khan in the Partner sequel. The makers were looking for the female lead in the film and felt that Ximena fits the bill but she will have to learn Hindi and some Bollywood dance moves for her role.
The model recently met Salman and has already started taking lessons in Hindi.
The New York-based fashion designer Sanjana Jon will style her clothes for the film.
Sanjana, who is close to both Salman and Ximena, has been instrumental in making this happen.”

By now everyone in the film industry knows that Anushka Sharma is hot property after Band Baaja Baaraat.
So to go with her newly advanced star status, it seems her presence in the promos was handsomely enhanced for Patiala House. According to a source, a promo was specially cut to highlight Anushka.
Reveals the source, “The way the promo is cut it’s almost like a showcase to highlight Anushka. In Band Baaja Baaraat she played a fast-talking, glib and confident Punjabi girl.
She plays the same kind of voluble kudi in Patiala House. So naturally, Anushka’s Punjabi phataka act is seen as one of the USPs.”
Director Nikhil Advani says, “Akshay is very quiet in the film. Anushka does all the talking in their relationship. So when a ‘love’ promo was cut Anushka naturally stood out.”
Juhi’s triple celebration for hubby’s 50th

King Khan was the only celebrity invited by Juhi Chawla to Jodhpur for Jay Mehta’s elaborate half-century bash

Last week, Juhi Chawla threw an elaborate party for hubby Jay Mehta’s 50th birthday in Jodhpur’s Umed Bhavan.
The celebrations went on for three consecutive days starting from January 16 and saw Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi’s closest friend, grace the occasion on January 18, Mehta’ birthday. Apparently, he was the only B-townie invited for the party.
Like a loving wife, Juhi personally looked after all the details. Revealed a source, “Juhi and Jay wanted to do something very different this time. It was not just a party.
The entire celebration lasted for three full days. Everyday had a different theme. On the first day, the theme was old classics, the second day was ‘80s disco night, and the third day was a contemporary bash where people let their hair down.
Even the cuisine on all three days was different, of which Rajasthani and Italian were most relished by the guests.”
Among the guest list of a hundred dear friends and relatives, SRK was the only celebrity guest. “We guess he was the only star that the couple had invited,” said the source.
Occupied with his home production RA.One, SRK managed to juggle his busy schedule and attend the celebrations on the second day. “Everyone was bowled over by his presence. Celebrations mein char chaand lag gaye,” added the source.
Ekta wants Vidya to get fatter

Vidya Balan has been instructed to eat more and put on an extra five kgs to resemble Silk Smitha

Vidya Balan told Mumbai Mirror a few months ago, “I hope that I that I don’t have to put on weight for Dirty Picture (biopic on late Silk Smitha).” Unfortunately for Vidya, that is precisely what is happening.
The lady who has been winning several awards for her stellar performance in Ishqiya has been asked to put on about 5 kilos.
Says a source, “The bone of contention is that Silk Smitha had heavy thighs. It will not be wrong to say that she had thunder thighs.
Vidya will have to put on some flab on her thighs and some other parts of her body as well.”
Since the past few days, Ekta Kapoor (producer) and Milan Luthria (director) were sourcing many pictures of Silk Smitha from the internet. “Every picture has her donning either shorts or small petticoats.
The look needs the character to have weight. Vidya is still not up there.”
So from this week it’s more carbohydrates for Vidya. A friend of Vidya told Mumbai Mirror, “Vidya loves to get into the skin of diverse characters.
She will be leaving no stone unturned for Dirty Picture.” Despite a text message, Vidya did not revert.
