I would love to do a Cameron Diaz-Minissha Lamba
0
Bollywood hottie Minissha Lamba is mostly seen doing cute and glamorous roles and it seems the actress is quite happy with it.
But ask her why she is away from doing meaningful and meaty roles and she says, “It’s not that I am running away from serious roles and don’t like doing them. I started my career with meaningful role and have done quite a few serious roles too like in Yahaan, then Shaurya and also in Well Done Abba which was Shyam Benegal’s film. So, I don’t think anybody can say that I haven’t done serious films. But, I largely consider myself an entertainer and want to be someone who entertains people. Moreover, serious roles will come my way in right time, but primarily I want to make people smile with my work.” So, what kind of a film the actress would love to do? “I would love to do a role of an action heroine, someone like Cameron Diaz,” says she.
Zulfi Syed to get hitched next year
0But the model-turned-actor is yet to find his girl
Elina Priyadarshini Nayak (BOMBAY TIMES; June 17, 2011) His humble, shy and a low-profile nature makes him different from others. But, all these qualities haven’t really helped model-turned-actor Zulfi Syed, who was last seen in the film Deshdrohi. Such an image has not only kept him away from the limelight, but has also deterred his filmi career from taking off. To this he says, “I know it’s important to market yourself well when you have so many competitors, but I am very weak in my PR skills. I’ll do it when I come up with something really good.”
Film buffs have not seen him since Deshdrohi. Ask him why, and he replies candidly, “I didn’t do any film after Deshdrohi because nothing interesting came my way. Since I believe in quality work, I thought it’s better to concentrate on modelling and fashion shows rather than opting for something that does not have substance.” Earlier Zulfi had revealed that he would be ‘doing an action movie soon,’ but that has not happened. Clearing the air, the actor says, “The scripting process is going on, and I am just waiting for it to complete. I may start shooting soon.”
Interestingly, in his time in the industry, Zulfi has also managed to maintain a sqeauky clean image. “If you have to survive, you have to do quality work. What matters are the scripts and quality of the films. Controversies give you your five minutes of fame, but people will begin More >

She etched a place for herself in the minds of the audiences beautifully, playing a dedicated homemaker in Taare Zameen Par. And now she is basking in the accolades for her hot and sexy avatar of an ultra glam socialite in Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji. In a candid chat with BT, Tisca speaks about working with Madhur Bhandarkar and her upcoming projects.
‘A PLEASANT SURPRISE’
Tisca’s performance in DTBHJ is being widely appreciated, and she’s glad, for it, she says. “I am slightly surprised because I was not expecting such a huge response for my oomph factor.” So what kind of compliments is she getting? “In TZP everybody felt sympathetic towards me, but this time I have received some amazing reactions. My account on my social networking site has crashed with comments, especially from men asking me out on a date. In fact, my husband hugged Madhur after watching the film. Sanjay told him — “I haven’t seen my wife like this before, and she has grown as an actor””
‘MADHUR BELIEVED IN ME’
“It’s difficult for someone to break an image that Aamir Khan had created, and only a gutsy director like Madhur could see the potential in me to do Anushka Narang.” The movie has some real hot scenes with co-star Emraan Hashmi. Was she a bit skeptical about working with the ‘serial kisser’? “Not at More >

With glares and moustache, Vivek Oberoi reminds you of his father Suresh Oberoi, who’s a dynamic actor. Tell him this and he says with a laugh, “That’s the biggest compliment I have ever got, and I am very proud of it.” The actor is flaunting this new look for his upcoming film. In a chat with BT, Vivek speaks about his new makeover and more… You started your career with Ram Gopal Varma’s film Company in 2002. Did you find any change in Ramu’s working style?
RGV is an actor’s director who deals with films related to reality, and working with him again was a great experience. Usually people tend to slow down with age, but I think RGV has become faster and he is making films at a much faster pace with age. This film, Rakht Charitra, is based on reality, it has real people and real ambience where I am playing the character of late Paritala Ravi, a politician, who was the former cabinet minister in Andhra Pradesh Government. It’s a story of a man who fights for justice and becomes the messiah of justice when the system denies that. For this role, I had to research a lot. I read many articles written on him and I saw many of his live interviews. But, it was very difficult to look, talk and walk like him initially.
And what about your new avatar with moustache?
