Sameera’s credit card hacked
0BOMBAY TIMES (November 29, 2011)
Sameera Reddy had her credit card hacked last week. She says, “You can imagine my shock when my credit card has been hacked. I got a call from an untraceable internet phone from someone who told me that he is a professional hacker. I thought it was a crank call but when he started giving me personal details of my account, my address, account PIN, birthdate etc, I went into shock. He said every second that I waste, thousands of dollars are being used worldwide as my account details are spreading like wildfire on the hacker network. The man said he was a fan and recognized my name from the movies so his conscience kicked in and he had to warn me. And thank God he did! I called up and immediately cancelled my card but in the space of 25 minutes there were 32 transactions confirmed. Strangely enough the Indian hacker from USA called me yet again giving me advice on how to protect myself online in the future and warning me that any online usage is never safe.”
Movie Review: SHOR IN THE CITY by FENIL SETA
02 years ago, there arrived a small gem of a film, 99. Directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, it was a terrific roller-coaster ride and showed how one can come up with a gripping and funny tale based on a true incident. And when the director duo announced their next, Shor In The City, naturally I was waiting for it with bated breath. The film is ready since months but couldn’t release as it was touring festivals, wowing the audiences worldwide! This further upped my curiosity by many notches! Finally, Shor In The City has released and thankfully, meets all the expectations! It is quirky, engaging, completely absorbing and gives a paisa vasool time to the viewers!
The story of the movie: Tilak (Tusshar Kapoor) is newly married to Sapna (Radhika Apte) and runs an illegal book printing house alongwith his rowdy buddies Mandook (Pitobash Tripathi) and Ramesh (Nikhil Dwivedi). A routine robbery in the train results in their world going upside down. Abhay (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is an NRI who has come back to India to start a new business. As news spread that a rich NRI has arrived, the local goons (Zakir Hussain, Suresh Dubey) threaten him to pay ‘protection money’. Sawan (Sundeep Kishan) is an aspiring cricketer who wishes to get into Under 22 Mumbai Cricket Team. But he realizes that won’t be possible unless he coughs up a huge amount of money, something which he doesn’t have. On the other hand, his girlfriend Sejal (Girija Oak) is pressurizing him to act More >
Mrs Dutt is on a roll
0From a small-time actress not so long ago, to the owner of a Rolls Royce, there’s more to Manyata Dutt’s evolution to a lady of the manor than what the eye can see
Vickey Lalwani (MUMBAI MIRROR; December 05, 2010)
When Sanjay Dutt gifted his wife Manyata a Rolls Royce earlier this week, all the world was there to hoot for the couple.
Manyata, visibly a new mom of twins, her white and yellow dress stretched over her post-pregnancy belly made a striking picture - the picture of a woman caught in the middle of transformation.
Gone was the shapeless salwar kameez and in its place a cool dress, appropriate shoes, bag and sun glasses. The hair - loose and wavy - continues to hark back in time, although it will be just a while until the lady seeks out a suitable hairdresser.
Manyata Dutt is evolving, even as she has affected much change in her husband Sanjay Dutt’s life. There is reason why much noise was made about Mrs Dutt’s new gift. “Manyata publicity ke liye kuch bhi karegi,” says an insider. “It was her idea that the media be called and that Sanjay should speak about the new swanky car.
So Sanjay cooked up a tale that the car was a post-delivery gift to Manyata.” Fact is, the actor has been dying to buy a Rolls Royce for the last eight years. He is very fond of fast cars. He is known to have gone into depression when Vidhu Vinod Chopra gifted a Phantom to Amitabh Bachchan, after the release of Eklavya.

Dino Morea's credit card stolen, misused
0Dino Morea
Recently, Dino Morea was left dumbstruck when he discovered that two transactions had been made on his credit card for a shopping spree. The incident happened at 11 am yesterday when Dino, along with the director of his forthcoming film, Acid Factory, Suparn Verma and co-star Aftab Shivdasani, was on his way to Delhi to watch a football match.
Our source revealed, “As soon as Dino landed in Delhi he got a message from the credit card company citing the usage of his credit card, much to the actor’s surprise, who was on the flight when the transaction took place. Dino called up the bank and got his card blocked but not before he had incurred a loss of Rs 18,000.”
Confirming the news, Dino added, “I got a message about two transactions that I did not make. I have no idea about what exactly has been billed to my credit card. I’m trying to resolve it. Hope I will get the details soon.”
