Ever since the couple called it quits there have been various stories about how and what happened between the two. But it is Mumbai Mirror that finally gets you the juice.
A source close to the actor said, “Shahid is extremely upset over the recent reports in the media about how he is trying to woo Priyanka back. The truth is that they will never get back together and it’s all over between them.
They broke off in the first week of February and after that Shahid has neither called Priyanka nor has he sent her an SMS. He has not even seen Priyanka’s last film, 7 Khoon Maaf. Shahid called his friend to find out how the reports are coming in the media since he had broken off with her in the first week of February itself.”
So why did the dynamic couple break up? The friend said, “There was always a compatibility issue between the two as they are as different as chalk and cheese. While Shahid is a very protective and private person as far as his relationships go, Priyanka is outgoing and casual.

Flights Anushka doesn’t fancy

Success is hard to handle at times. With Band Baaja Baaraat hitting a jackpot at the box ozffice, lead actress Anushka Sharma has to fly to different cities and give interviews.
On several occasions, she has had to do this in the span of a single day.
Plus, Anushka is promoting her next film, Patiala House, apart from staying committed to her endorsements and rehearsals for the Filmfare Awards.
Anushka’s friend said, “Today, she will first fly to Delhi via a chartered plane. In the afternoon she will be headed to Chandigarh via the same chartered.
The same night she will fly back to Mumbai.
She lands post midnight and will be at the venue for the technical rehearsals for the Filmfare Awards.”
Anushka cannot cancel any of the commitments and has thus chosen to take chartered flights. But fame doesn’t come easy, girl.
Kangna doesnt stop despite fever

Bollywood is not all about glitz and glamour; there’s hardship too. Kangna Ranaut chose to stick to all her commitments despite suffering from very high temperature.
Though the actress has been advised bed rest by her doctors, Kangna has shoots lined up back to back This includes one song in Tanu Weds Manu, and entire shooting schedules for Dhamaal 2 and Rascals.
Rana ChakrabortyKangna’s friend said, “Three days ago when Kangna was doing the promotions of her film Tanu Weds Manu on TV reality show, Zor Ka Jhatka, the actress felt so weak that a doctor had to be called to the sets.
Kangna has viral fever and is very weak but is continuously shooting for all her commitments. The doctor has been accompanying her to all her shoots.”
Tanu Weds Manu director Aanand L. Rai says “Kangna has been down with a viral fever over the last few days. It’s been quite bad, but she has a very tight schedule with travel planned for another film.
Despite fever, she made time to shoot for the climax and a song. She is also doing promotional activities for the film. We appreciate her professionalism.”
No honeymoon for Imran-Avantika

Imran Khan’s work schedule dashes post-marriage plans

Imran Khan will have to make it up big time to his soon-to-be bride Avantika Malik as his hectic schedule around their wedding date will mean that she will not get a honeymoon. BT has learned that Avantika might have to wait at least six months for Imran to get free from his commitments to plan a romantic holiday.
Imran was supposed to take around 20 days off during the marriage to actively participate in the preparations and was even expected to take a short vacation right after. However, his shooting schedule has dashed those plans completely. We hear that Imran will now be shooting right upto the day of his marriage and he rejoins work the day after. Avantika, fortunately, is informed about these commitments and is supportive towards her better half’s career. Imran glumly confirmed, “There is no drama on my wedding. It will be a quiet one. I will have no time for a honeymoon as I will be in the midst of a shooting schedule. I will be really busy for a couple of months so it has to happen post that.” Meanwhile, he is already horrified by the thought of sitting down and deciding on the guest list and who to invite and who not to. “The marriage will be in court and it will be attended only by family members but we will have a reception. For me the smaller and quieter the reception, the better,” said the actor.

The day her son Vihaan was born, Nandita Das cut off completely from the rest of her commitments

While Kajol waits for her turn, Nandita Das is all smiles, savouring every moment spent with her newly born son. He has been named Vihaan.
Though the actress has no plans to give up her career, she is taking all the time she can to nurture her child. She says, “Somehow I am missing nothing else. Subodh and I are spending a lot of time just watching our son. We have named him Vihaan. It is the Sanskrit word for ‘a new beginning’ or ‘the morning rays of the sun’. It sure is a new beginning for us.”
Nandita Das with VihaanWhat’s also new is that the actress has switched off from the world to concentrate all her energies on her son. Even close friends like Rituparno Ghosh, Shabana Azmi and Deepa Mehta are finding it difficult to get in touch with her.
Not discounting the importance of her friends, she says, “I am enjoying this experience of having the little one around, whose cries and smiles mean the world to me.
Though much of my time goes in feeding, changing nappies and trying to get some sleep. It is wonderful to keep the phone on eternal silence and e-mails on auto-reply! I have never been so grounded.”
Adds Nandita, laughing, “I met my husband on August 11, 2009, Vihaan was born on August 11, 2010! The date will surely be the most important one in our lives.” How adorable!

I arrive on time expecting a superb, well managed modern decor with half a dozen maids running up and down. But the first glance makes you forget your expectations. It just doubles it up. From the outside, it looks like a colossal palace. More like the Buckingham Palace. It’s retro in style. It’s traditionally white and it’s got about a dozen chefs cooking some special courses for the day. BMWs, Mercedes and Toyotas are seen entering the spacious parking lot to attend the obvious function. I enter the reception area and ask for Eesha. But to no avail. I call her and she calls back and guides me to come on the first floor where she is busy eating her hot served lunch. She offers me some but I insist on ‘no thanks’. Next up, “Will you have Tang?” I reply in affirmative. And then the best part, “Will you have it with soda or water?” the maid asks. Eesha can’t stop laughing when I reply, “Isn’t Tang suppose to be had with water?”

Deepika, Ranbir over and out?

Despite their best efforts, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone fail to rekindle their relationship

Not too long ago, this newspaper had reported that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are finally sorting out their differences and are back to being a couple again. Regrettably, that’s not happening. This love story does not have a happy ending.
After much discussion and rumination, Ranbir and Deepika are not reconciling. The man in question is not ready to make a commitment at this stage in his career.
Mumbai Mirror (May 7, 2010) had reported that the couple tried to resolve their differences on the condition that Ranbir wouldn’t encourage his “friendships” with PYTs and Deepika on her part would give him breathing space.
The couple in fact went to watch Housefull together in a Juhu multiplex (which we reported this on May 3, 2010). While both the actors had chosen to make amendments and abide by them to give their relationship another shot, it all fell apart recently.
A source says, “Ranbir and Deepika even had a tiff on the issue of commitment. A few days ago Deepika left for London to attend the Grand Prix.

Pooja Bedi has a new man in her life but she’s determined to keep his identity a secret, at least for now. The only hint is that his name starts with ‘A’. She met him at a social function around a month ago and the sparks have turned into a bonfire.
He’s been bombarding her with roses, wooing her over romantic lunches, bonding with her kids and flying down to wherever in India she may be to spend time with her. Finally, Pooja has let her guard down and reciprocated his feelings.
“Frankly, I’ve never been so overwhelmed by romance in my life. He’s tall, good looking, attentive and caring. He’s been sending me roses every single day. One day he sent a gigantic creation with 1000 roses. Even my friends don’t know who he is and I just refer to him as 1000 roses,” beams Pooja.
Pooja says she wants to give herself time before making a commitment. “Life’s been a rollercoaster since my divorce. I’ve never been someone to do things impulsively, because I have children. He’s everything I have ever wanted in a man, but I’ll give it six months. I just hope I can make him remotely as happy as he makes me.”

// // // Gauhar Khan has just entered Bollywood, but, apparently, after the acclaim she has received for Rocket Singh, she is already throwing her weight around. Recently the actress was in Phuket to perform at a stage show with Anjana Sukhani. Gauhar threw a fit as she wanted a solo entry. She refused to make an entry with Anjana.
A source at the event reveals, “Anjana and Gauhar were supposed to make an entry together for the opening. But a few hours before the show, Gauhar spoke to the organisers and the choreographer and demanded that she make a solo entry. Just a few minutes before the show, Anjana was informed about the change and so she made her entry after Gauhar’s act.”
Anjana Sukhani Gauhar KhanAnjana claims ignorance, which can always be construed as bliss. She says, “I am not aware of this. I did what I was told to do. The organisers wanted a joint entry and we were following the choreographer.”
However, Gauhar says she had her reasons for putting her foot down. She says, “There were some last minute changes in the act and I wasn’t informed, which was quite unprofessional on their part. I kept my commitment and finished the show.”
