Chalo Dilli is a journey which along with the two protagonists showcases the real India and its colorful and funny people with their eccentricities. Produced by Eros International in association with Big Daddy Productions (owned by Globosport) & Bheegi Basanti production, the film is directed by Shashant Shah of Dasvidaniya fame.
The mismatched pair belong to two different schools of acting and are ready to give audiences a taste of both worlds. Chalo Dilli is a bizarre journey full of adventure, madness and crazy comic moments with the oddest travelling couple ever!
Says a source “With Vinay you are bound to have a few laughs with his quick wit and slapstick humour and Lara adds to the glamour quotient. The film is a journey of the 2 protagonists and it takes a closer look at our colourful interiors en route destination Delhi. Their chemistry is one to watch out for”
Chalo Dilli has been shot in Jaipur, Delhi and Mumbai and is currently in post-production stages.
The film is set to release on April 29.

Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi are taking their relationship to a new level by doing business together with the launch of their film Chalo Dilli. Produced by Eros International in association with Big Daddy Productions (owned by Mahesh’s Globosport) and Bheegi Basanti Production (owned by Lara), the film that went on the floors in November is being directed by Shashant Shah of Dasvidaniya fame. The sassy Lara is donning multiple hats in this project as she also plays the lead opposite Vinay Pathak.
Chalo Dilli belongs to the road movie genre that entertains as well as brings a lump to the throat with its touching story. It also boasts of impressive and promising talent from the Indian theatre scene. The movie, through the journey of its two protagonists, showcases real India, which is blooming with colourful and funny people whose eccentricities touch the heart.
Krishika Lulla, producer, Eros International Media Ltd, said, “We are working towards creating fresh and exciting cinema through rightly budgeted films and providing wholesome entertainment.
