Bheja Fry director Sagar Ballary has become a proud father after his wife Archana Rao Ballary gave birth to a baby boy, at an Andheri hospital Friday evening at 5.37 pm. Both the mother and child are in good health.

When contacted an elated Sagar Ballary said, “It’s a Friday release. This is one news that I have been waiting for sometime now. In fact there were two.

Firstly, I was waiting for the censor certificate of my film Bheja Fry 2, which I got yesterday and secondly my baby boy. And the fact that the baby was born on a Friday, makes me doubly happy.”

A scene imitating Sourav Ganguly’s famous shirt rip-off at Lord’s in 2002 lands Vinay Pathak starrer Bheja Fry 2 in censor trouble

Sourav Ganguly took off his shirt at Lord’s, years back. That particular event in the past has come back to haunt producer Mukul Deora and director Sagar Bellary. The mere mention of the former captain of team India has landed their film Bheja Fry 2 in censor trouble.

The promo of the film sent to the Censor Board had a line ‘Sourav Ganguly mat bano’, a comment that raised a few eyebrows around the table.

And though the particular promo has been passed for now, the members of the board have demanded a screening of the film to check whether the particular line was used in any derogatory way. Only then will they decide the fate of the scene in the film.

Explaining the context of the controversial line, our source informed, “In the film two actors Vinay Pathak and Kay Kay Menon are stuck on an island. So, Pathak takes his shirt off and swings it the way Ganguly had done at Lord’s after winning the Natwest Triangular trophy in 2002.

That’s when Kay Kay Menon comments ‘Sourav Ganguly mat bano’. This was said as the actor in the scene was imitating the now famous gesture of Ganguly. A portion of this has been used in the promo of Bheja Fry 2.
