Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti to release on Valentine’s Day 2014
0Sneha Mahadevan (BOMBAY TIMES; April 6, 2013)
Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti, the film that marks the debut of Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger Shroff — with debutant heroine Kriti Sanon — will go on the floor on April 6 in Patiala. The date is special for Sajid as two decades ago, the first schedule of his movie Judwaa went on the floors the same day. Heropanti is scheduled to have a 2014 Valentine’s Day release.
With this film, Sajid is marking a return to the action-romance genre. His wife Wardha and mother will be giving the first clap for the film. Sajid says, “I have always believed in giving breaks to deserving people. So far, I have given breaks to several leading ladies and young directors. I have full faith in Tiger and his talent. This boy is going to redefine action and dance. Working with newcomers has its own energies and I am looking forward to the shoot.”
Jackie’s wife Ayesha, who is thrilled to see her son work with Nadiadwala’s production house, says, “Tiger couldn’t have got a better producer than Sajid. The love that he and Wardha have extended to Tiger is unparalleled. Sajid has not only been supportive, but immensely patient and nurturing. I keep saying Tiger is fortunate to have two sets of parents. Both Jaggu (Jackie) and me are happy that Sajid and Wardha have taken our son under their wings and have made him a part of their family. As a mother, I am immensely proud of Tiger’s hardwork and determination. We are grateful for this new beginning and super More >
Jackie, Ayesha to sell Sony shares?
0If they do, they would be ending their 17-year-long association with the television channel. So what gives?
Vickey Lalwani (MUMBAI MIRROR; October 11, 2012)
Jt seems times are changing for Jackie and Ayesha Shroff. Among other things, Jackie recently bought a house in Bandra Bandstand, which is in the neighbourhood of both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
And now we hear Jackie and Ayesha are planning to sell their 10 per cent holding in Sony TV. If they actually offload the shares, they would be ending their 17-year-long association with the television channel. While the value of their shares is not known, word is it is likely to be much more than their initial investment as the channel has come a long way since its inception.
An insider from the Shroff family told Mirror, “Jackie and Ayesha have a beautiful working relationship with Sony. Today, it is one of the leading channels in India. They have holdings in it for 17 years.”
So why are they even contemplating parting ways with the company? “Sony TV has been a great experience and Jackie and Ayesha have many friends in the company. But they now have different ideas on different investments. After all, how long can they go on doing the same thing?” the insider revealed.
Indeed, things have been looking up for the Shroffs lately. Their son Tiger (21) is gearing up for his acting debut in Sajid Nadiadwalia’s Heropanti. Jackie himself is back with a vengeance. In the last two months, the actor has signed three big films: More >
Jackie gifts Khandala farmhouse to wife on anniversary
0Vickey Lalwani (MUMBAI MIRROR; August 28, 2012)
Completing a quarter of a century of marital bliss is a milestone that calls for celebration. And Jackie Shroff is doing exactly that. The actor has gifted a plot measuring 2.5 acre to his wife Ayesha to commemorate completion of 25 years of marriage this year.
And Ayesha, on her part, is leaving no stone unturned to make the most of her gift. Plans are afoot to build a bungalow spanning 13,000 sq ft, especially for their son Tiger (21) and daughter Krishna (19). There will be a separate 3,000 sq ft wing for the siblings to party along with their friends.
Ayesha confirmed the news and said, “Jackie’s gift came as a pleasant surprise; something that I won’t forget ever. But now I have a task to carry out. I have a dream home in mind, which Jackie and I are going to set up in about a year and a half or two at the most.”
Waxing eloquent about the blueprint she has in mind, Ayesha said, “The house will have a mini theatre, basketball court, swimming pool and a state-of-the-art gymnasium. My son is so clued into gyms that I don’t have to ask anyone about the equipment I need to purchase. Construction on the ground plus one house will mostly begin in December this year.”
Earlier, they’d thought of having a farmhouse on the land. “However, bridges are coming up now, that will help us reach from Bandra to Khandala in an hour or so. We have decided to have a proper house in Khandala. And of course, we are not selling our newly More >
Ayesha and I have separate lives-Jackie Shroff
035 years into his relationship with wife Ayesha, Jackie Shroff makes a confession. He also talks about his son Tiger, Anil Kapoor and mentor Subhash Ghai
Tushar Joshi (BOMBAY TIMES; July 4, 2012)
Jackie Shroff hasn’t delivered a memorable performance on the big screen in years. One now sees more of him in late night teleshopping ads, while contemporaries Sunny Deol and Anil Kapoor continue to make films. Currently, Jaggu Dada is in the news for making a comeback in an action film and also being a part of Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan. Ask him about it and he laughs, “Bhidu, how many times will they make me come back?” Despite his personal and professional setbacks, he has managed to stay positive. Over coffee and sandwiches, Jackie chats with BT about his new innings, his son Tiger’s big launch and his relationship with wife Ayesha. Read on…
There were reports that Aamir Khan would launch Tiger. What went wrong? Aamir is my buddy. I had taken Tiger to meet him. Aamir said if I needed help in marketing, selecting scripts, etc, he’d be there for Tiger. He asked my boy what kind of films he would like to do and they spoke. But there was no discussion of them working together. It was my job to make them meet. He loves Tiger and will always give him good advice whenever needed.
Why didn’t your mentor Subhash Ghai launch Tiger? I think Subhashji is busy with his studio and other things. I remember when Tiger was born, he said, ‘Yeh mera beta hai, mein isko signing amount de More >
Jackie Shroff comes in between SRK-Salman
0MUMBAI MIRROR (June 15, 2012)
Barely weeks after signing YRF’s Dhoom 3, where he frequently shares screen space with Aamir Khan, Jackie Shroff will now play neighbour to both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
Last afternoon, the actor and his family moved to their new house in Bandra Bandstand. Jackie recently bought the entire 14th floor spread across nearly 3,000 sq feet of Vaastu, a 20-storeyed building in Bandstand. And, Vaastu is strategically located between SRK’s Mannat and Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments.
Jackie’s wife Ayesha confirmed the news and added, “Even as we speak, my staff is helping me move all our belongings. We will start staying in Vaastu from today.” Elated at having completed 25 years of marriage on June 5, which also coincided with her birthday, she said, “It’s a great feeling. And I know Jackie since 35 years.”
Asked why they decided to move, she said, “We needed a larger space. We sold off our old flat near Linking Road. Jackie and I just can’t stop smiling. Touch wood!”
For Jackie, who hasn’t exactly been in the limelight for some time now, this may well be the start of a new innings both professionally and personally. A friend of the actor told Mirror, “He and Ayesha are in a very happy space. They just completed 25 years of togetherness. His son Tiger recently signed his first film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. And Aditya Chopra signed him two weeks ago to play a pivotal role in Dhoom 3.”

Tiger Shroff signs film; Jackie records the moment
1The Shroff boy will debut in Sajid Nadiadwala’s production, and not with Aamir Khan’s banner
Garima Sharma (BOMBAY TIMES; June 10, 2012)
Like any newcomer, Tiger Shroff ’s debut has generated much speculation, but it seems that the newbie’s parents wanted much more than just a big banner for his launch. They wanted someone who could give him a dream debut, and a fabulous flag-off to his career. After deliberating for a while, they’ve finally zeroed in on Sajid Nadiadwala’s next for him. And Tiger finally signed on the dotted line at the producer’s office last week, in the presence of his parents..
Jackie and Ayesha Shroff, as well as Bunty Behl from his talent management firm, were instrumental in making the final choice for the young actor, and the 21-year-old is now busy preparing for the film, to be directed by Sabbir Khan. Apparently, it took the trio almost two years to finalise Tiger’s debut project, so when he finally completed the signing formalities last week, his parents were visibly emotional. In fact, we heard that Sajid insisted that both Jackie and Ayesha be present, and Jaggu Dada was so excited that he filmed the entire occasion. Ayesha tried hard to fight back tears.
Even though there was news earlier that Aamir Khan would launch Tiger, it seems that Sabbir Khan, who was working on this movie’s script for a while, met the aspiring actor and suggested his name to Nadiadwala. That’s how things fell into place.
When we contacted Sajid, he confirmed the More >
Jackie Shroff’s son to be launched by Aamir Khan?
0By Subhash K. Jha, November 24, 2011 – 12:07 IST
Did Aamir Khan meet Jackie Shroff in Mahabaleshwar last week to finalize plans to launch Jackie’s son Tiger?
Jackie doesn’t deny that Aamir has shown an interest in launching Tiger. But he says the meeting in Mahabaleshwar was not professional. “Aamir and I have known one another for years. We’re fond of one another. I was shooting for Ananth Mahadevan’s Life’s Good in Mahabaleshwar. Aamir has a home there. He dropped in to see me twice. As far as launching Tiger goes, I’d be really happy if it happens.”
It’s straight-off tug-o-war between Subhash Ghai and Aamir Khan to launch Jackie and Ayesha Shroff’s son Jai (Tiger). Both the producers have shown a keen interest in the boy. In fact Ghai’s interest goes back to Tiger’s childhood when he had made a pledge he would launch his friend and discovery Jackie’s son whenever the boy was ready to take the plunge.
But now, there is a very interesting twist in Tiger’s tale, with Bollywood’s resident maverick-producer Aamir Khan showing a keen interest in launching Tiger.
Says a source, “Jackie and Ayesha were more or less decided on their family friend Subhash Ghai launching Tiger. But then a call came from Aamir Khan’s production house stating that the boss-man wanted to meet Tiger. The boy met Aamir.”
Apparently, the meeting went off very satisfactorily, with Aamir spending a couple of hours briefing the Shroff boy on life cinema and other vagaries.
Says the source, “The meeting with More >

Ayesha's warning to Ambika!

Ayesha Shroff Ambika Hinduja
Apparently, Kaizad met Ambika and asked her if she could produce a film for him. He claimed that Sanjay Dutt is very interested in the script. Confirming that, Ambika said, “Kaizad said that Sanjay Dutt has shown interest in it. But I haven’t given it much thought yet. I am currently very busy with Teen Patti.” Dharam Oberoi, Sanjay Dutt Productions’ CEO said, “We don’t have dates for Kaizad now, but we might do the film with him later.”
Kaizad is unaware that recently Ayesha called up a close associate of Ambika to warn her that she may end up burning her fingers if she decides to produce a film for Kaizad.
Kaizad GustadWhy did Ayesha tip off Ambika? A source says, “Ayesha and Ambika are friends. Ayesha didn’t want Ambika to experience the trouble she had with Kaizad during the making of her second film with him, Bombil and Beatrice, which went over-budget due to his ineptitude. She cautioned Ambika through her office. More >
Katrina aghast at 'controversial' TV images of Ranbir & her hugging on street
0By Subhash K. Jha, September 12, 2009 – 11:42 IST
There are many reasons why Katrina ko bahut gussa aata hai. Earlier this week a television channel went ballistic with an image showing her reaching out and hugging Ranbir Kapoor on the road. The suggestive clipping had the channel wondering aloud what Salman Khan would have to say about Katrina’s public display of intimacy.
Katrina is defiant and cheesed off. ”Nothing .Why should he have anything to say about a scene from a film? It’s a scene we shot for Rajneeti on a street of Bhopal. Obviously some camera outside our unit shot and decided to up the channel’s TRPs with one more scandal story. But it’s disgusting.”
Katrina sees this as a clear case of ‘match’-mixing. ”First of all it’s illegal to shoot people without their knowledge. And then how can they pass off a shot from a film as a paparazzi scoop?”
Getting indignant Katrina says, ”People can easily see I’m dressed for the character in Rajneeti. And am I so dumb as to indulge in a public display of affection with my co-star? Grant me more common sense.”
The lady who’s in Bhopal shooting non-stop with Ranbir for Rajneeti took off for Delhi on Tuesday to shoot for Vogue. She had to skip the music release of Salman Khan’s Main Aurr Mrs Khanna in Mumbai. ”Another controversy?” she sighs. ”We’re all busy with our commitments. And I’m also busy fighting off strange allegations.”
Strangest of them all is the one that Ayesha Shroff shot off alleging that the surname given on More >
