Sayali Bhagat has a huge fetish for sunglasses. They are a must-have in her hand bag. In fact, her mother always chides her about her collection. She feels Sayali can come up with fullfledged store of exquisite sunglasses if she wants. Taking cue from mommy dearest, the actress says, “I am extremely fond of sunglasses that’s my favourite accessory and something I can’t do without. In fact, I’m planning to come up with a luxurious store for sunglasses where all the top brands would be made available under one roof. My business manager has already confirmed a place in Bandra somewhere around Carter Road to open up a posh store.” Is this an alternative career option for the actress, perhaps? If so, she should come up with something better than a shades store!
Tusshar makes his friend feel special

Tusshar Kapoor and Satish Kaushik made production designer Rafi Kazi feel special by organising a surprise birthday party for him.
The party held on Friday had only close friends on the guest list.
Some of the friends who came to wish Rafi despite the short notice were David Dhawan, Minissha Lamba, Tutu Sharma, Sunil Wadhwa, Amin Hajee, Vikas Kapoor, Laxmi Rai Shabir Khan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Sonal Chauhan, Shabina Khan, Indra Kumar, Vikram Singh, Shailesh Singh and Jaymin Panchal among others.
Also, the entire team of Rafi’s Hum Tum Shabana were present for his birthday party.
When contacted Rafi Kazi said, “It was a touching gesture by Satishji and Tusshar and I am grateful to them for making my birthday special.”
Shilpa’s mother comes to her rescue

Shilpa Shetty’s mother Sunanda’s maternal instincts kicked in just in time to save the actress from a professional fall. Shilpa’s Indo-Chinese production The Desire: A Journey Of A Woman was about to be shelved due to lack of funds.
However, Sunanda stepped in to produce the film and ever since then, the project has progressed smoothly.
Sunanda has edited the film down to 95 minutes from 145 minutes. She also took a decision to remove the lesbian angle between Shilpa and Sheetal Menon to make it worthy enough to compete in various international film festivals.
Sunanda Shetty admits, “The website claim Tracy Shiyun to be the co-producer. But it’s not true, as I am the sole producer of this project.
When I decided to step in as the producer, the film was in serious trouble. It was stuck for over a year. But I immediately saw the potential in it. I was told there were just a few weeks of shooting left, when in fact we had to shoot for a good six months more.
But, it’s a beautiful story and has a great role for Shilpa. More than being the concerned mother, it was the film buff in me that realised the potential of this film.” The film deals with an Indian girl’s quest for spiritualism, through her Odissi dance performances.
Sonakshi is Saroj Khan’s new student

Sonakshi Sinha will work with the reputed choreographer for a dance number in Prabhu Deva’s Rowdy Rathore

Saroj Khan has reluctantly agreed to come out of her self-imposed, semi-retirement to choreograph a number for Sonakshi Sinha in Prabhu Deva’s action-drama Rowdy Rathore. Considering the actress is the first among her contemporaries to work with the reputed choreographer, Sonakshi has been rehearsing non-stop for the past week. The dance number, which has a strong classical element, will be shot from August 10.
A source revealed that Saroj does not intend to cut Sonakshi any slack because she is Shatrughan and Punam Sinha’s daughter.
“The dance for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production has been essayed along the lines of Madhuri Dixit’s Maar Dala in Devdas, which Saroj Khan had choreographed,” said the source.
And it’s not just Saroj watching over Sonakshi. The actress will also be carefully watched by the director. The source explained, “Though Prabhu Deva has vowed not to play the choreographer on the sets of Rowdy Rathore, he keeps slipping into the role. Saroj, known to not take any interference from even the film’s director, seems surprisingly open to Deva’s inputs.”

The actor will now play the role of Manya Surve in Sanjay Gupta’s next; Anil Kapoor roped in as encounter specalist ACP Isaque Bagwan

Despite producer Ekta Kapoor wanting Saif Ali Khan as the lead gangster Manya Surve in her next venture Shootout At Wadala, the director Sanjay Gupta’s choice has finally won. John Abraham will be playing the role of the dreaded gangster in the film based on Husain Zaidi’s story.
A joint venture between Ekta’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Sanjay’s White Feather Films, the project will also star Anil Kapoor as the ACP Isaque Bagwan, Mumbai’s first encounter specialist. Isaque Bagwan shot down Manya Surve along with officer Raja Tambat on January 11, 1982.
Shootout At Wadala, a sequel or rather a prequel to the Sanjay Dutt – Amitabh Bachchan starrer Shootout At Lokhandwala, will also mark the return of Sajay Gupta to direction after 2006. Gupta last directed the Sanjay Dutt starrer Zinda.
A source close to the film told Mumbai Mirror, “Gupta’s new film is a massive crime saga. It spans from late 60s to early 80s. It also delves into the war between the Pathans and the Ibrahim brothers (Dawood and Sabir).”
Although the film seems to be of the same genre as Shootout At Lokhandwala, a source said, “The film will have an ensemble cast which will be bigger than the one in the predecessor. Big names are being considered for the remaining roles.

Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ranjeeta Kaur return to Rajshri Productions, to pair up once again for the sequel to their superhit 1978 film Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se

The 1978 superhit Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se will be yet another film added to the list of sequels in Bollywood. And reportedly, the film’s original lead actors, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ranjeeta Kaur, will once again share screen space after 36 years in the film’s sequel, titled Jaana Pehchana.
Ankhiyon Ke Jharonko Se, which was loosely inspired by Erich Segal’s popular romantic novel Love Story, was directed by Hiren Nag and produced by Rajshri Productions. For the sequel, Sachin will not only star in the film but also direct it.
Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ranjeeta Kaur will be seen in the sequel to Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon SeA source informed that Sachin has been actively involved in the sequel. He has written the screenplay and is expected to sing a few songs for the film as well.
When contacted, Sachin confirmed, “It feels wonderful to return to Rajshri Productions. It’s like a family reunion. The challenge for the sequel will be to delve deep into the nuances of the relationship between the two protagonists, Ranjeeta and myself.”

Actresses vying for the same place in Bollywood can never be good friends. We know that. We also know about the many times leading ladies have had power struggles when cast in the same film. In fact, Kareena Kapoor had sworn of multiple heroine films some time back. However, fighting over a makeup artist is a first even in this industry with its more than generous share of catfights.
YRF discovery Anushka Sharma and the production house’s current favourite Katrina Kaif have started this new genre of catfights. In an effort to prove who the winner was in a continuing power struggle, the two heroines have now pulled in their makeup artist in the middle.
On Sunday afternoon, Katrina Kaif created quite a stir within the production house having learnt that her makeup artist was ready to fly off to London for a two-day event with Anushka Sharma. Katrina, who had to finish the patch up shoot for her YRF film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, put her foot down. She wanted her makeup man to make her look pretty and not fly out of the country.

Chetan Hansraj has got an all-new look and he has worked hard for it! When he started shooting for Bodyguard he weighed 102 kilos and was not in the best shape, but with help from Salman Khan he has got himself an admirable physique. “During the shoot of the first fight sequence, Bhai told me I had 50 days to get ripped for the film’s climax sequence. That was motivation enough for me. He told me what diet to follow, what supplements to take and also gave me his trainer Rakesh Udiyar,” says Chetan. After all the intense workout sessions everyday, he’s now 17 kilos lighter. “And I look and feel 15 years younger,” he says, all charged up to stick to his new fitness regime always.

I have been reading how people are talking about Sonakshi Sinha’s constant weight gain and loss. I am tired of people calling her names and saying things about how fat she looks. I would personally want to help her lose weight. This too without any exercise just on the basis of a ‘Bollywood Diet’’ given to me by my friend in the UK. I have personally lost 15 kgs after following this diet. Sonakshi comes from the most loving family. Her mom is an angel and I have been lucky to have personally met her. She cooks the most amazing food, so I don’t blame Sonakshi if she’s happily feasting on the ghar ka khaana. I feel her body is very much like mine. I too tend to put on weight as soon as I eat something. My metabolism is just like her. The diet that I have will help her lose weight immediately as long as she follows it strictly. Lot of my friends have followed it and gotten tremendous results. I feel after Kareena, it’s Sonakshi who has the most angelic face in the industry.
