Arjun Rampal, who is known for his love for fitness, remodelled an existing gym on the ground floor of his building into a modern one with state-of-the-art equipment. He did this a few months ago, at his own expense. The actor welcomed everyone staying in the building complex to use the facility. But now the honeymoon’s over. Following a tiff with the residents, Arjun has carted out his equipment and the gym is empty and no longer functional.
The problem began when Arjun asked people not to use the gym at the same time as him. This didn’t go down well with the residents because while he did pay for the gym, it is a public area and they didn’t take kindly to the actor dictating terms or timings.
Says a source, “Before Arjun made the state-of-the-art gym, there was a gym of sorts on the ground floor. It had some basic workout equipment like treadmills and weights. When Arjun moved into the building a few years ago, he found the facility too basic and he scaled it up, to suit his fitness standard. He was also able to avoid going out every day to a private gym. Also, it would afford him the advantage of working out at any hour, according to his convenience. He’d opened the gym to the other residents of the building and told everyone that he felt happy to see youngsters and children hitting the gym.”
Reveals a source, “But Arjun hadn’t thought this through. He didn’t expect the residents to work out at the same time as him. To be fair, he wanted More >
With temperatures soaring in Bhopal, the cast and crew of Satyagraha is feeling the heat
Asira Tarannum (MID-DAY; April 12, 2013)
Call it occupational hazard. The temperatures on the sets of Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha have soared so high that the cast and the crew apparently have been feeling the heat, literally. While many actors have taken to the social networking site to complain about the extreme weather condition, Ajay Devgn apparently fell ill and a doctor had to be summoned on the sets.
The second schedule is on at the Benazir grounds in the city and the daytime temperature stands at 40 degrees. Arjun Rampal was the first one among the cast to complain about the weather. Last Wednesday, Arjun wrote, “Going to head back to Bhopal again today for the last schedule of Satyagraha, another 25 days. Wish me luck as the weather will be a challenge.” Later Devgn tweeted, “ Back in Bhopal and the heat is killing!” Amrita Rao tweeted yesterday, “Day 5 SATYAGRAHA 2nd schedule.. and the microwave has jus turned into a bhatti ..”
A source from the sets says, “The stars are cooperating with the crew. We try to wrap up the shoot in time and head back to the hotel. A doctor had to be called in when Devgn complained of blood pressure problems. Touchwood it was not something major.” Devgn’s spokesperson however denied the buzz of the actor falling ill.

We hear that Irrfan has two new fans.
On the sets of his next film D-Day with Nikhil Advani, both his co-stars Huma Qureshi and Shruti Haasan have developed a serious crush on him.
And to make their other co-star Arjun Rampal jealous, they made loud proclamations of their infatuation in front of him.
A source from the sets says, “The two used to play a lot of pranks with Arjun and even gushed in front of him how Irrfan is one of the most handsome actors in the industry. Arjun too would pretend to be very upset after hearing this. However, it is true that both the actresses are in awe of Irrfan’s performances and good looks.”
However Advani says, “Fed up with Arjun’s pranks on the sets, the two girls decided to give it back to him. Arjun tried his best to look angry. It was all in good humour.”

Unarguably Arjun Rampal has one of the hottest bods in tinsel town. And while the actor plays a RAW agent in Nikhil Advani’s D-Day, it is expected the actor would take his fitness level a notch higher.
The film has been shot in Gujarat. So particular was Arjun about his physical image that he summoned his fitness trainer Ivian Fernandis to Ahmedabad to have him fighting fit for his role. The two set up camp inside a tent along with the actor’s fitness equipments.
A source from the sets says, “When the film’s shoot moved to a village, a temporary gym was put up. We were shooting in Dasada and there were no good hotels in the vicinity. Everyone was put up in tents.”
Arjun was apparently up everyday for his 6 am workout and only proceeded to the shoot venue after his heavy exercise regime.

It was a scene from his next film that got literally too hot for Arjun Rampal to handle.
Apparently a sequence required a stuntman to immolate himself and Arjun and his co- star Ajay Devgn were to save him from the fire.
A source from the film’s Bhopal sets says, “Arjun and Ajay have been shooting for Prakash Jha’s Satyaghaha. Stuntman Bunty put himself on fire and the two actors had to save him. The scene got too real and Arjun got way too much into his character. He freaked out.” The actor wrote about the incident on his micro- blogging site last evening, “Stunt man Bunty puts himself on fire. Me and @ajaydevgn try to save his life. All a part of Satyagrah. Freaky moment.”
Soon the actor’s timeline was buzzing with messages from people asking him if all was well.
He later however clarified the incident stating, “Just want to clarify my last tweet, no one is hurt, all safe, was describing the scene we shot, Bunty, Ajay and I are all safe we were just acting.”
