Anushka Sharma being signed by Yash Chopra for his next with Shah Rukh Khan has spelled good news for the actress in more ways than one. Not just has this proved to be a testimony of her acting skills and popularity, what with the ‘mogul of romance’ trusting her to do the job, she has also made huge leaps in covering over half the distance that YRF’s ‘ghar ki heroine’ Rani Mukerjee has over the years.

“Incidentally, while it took Rani Mukerjee seven years to cover the distance between Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2002) and Dil Bole Hadippa (2009) during which she did nine films with them, it would be Anushka’s fifth film with Chopras inside four years when her Shah Rukh starrer would release next Diwali”, informs a trade follower.

So while Rani has done Dil Bole Hadippa!, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Bunty Aur Babli, Veer Zaara, Hum Tum, Saathiya and Mujhse Dosti Karoge with Chopras, Anushka has already featured in their Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Badmaash Company and Band Baaja Baaraat and is currently shooting for Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl. Incidentally, while for Rani it is still a 50-50 record commercially when it comes to aforementioned films, Anushka has been enjoying a 100% success rate.
