If Amitabh Bachchan was once the angry young man on screen, Anurag Kashyap is the latest one, albeit off screen. And you can trust the frank and fearless Anurag to stir up a hornet’s nest with his alacrity. This time, he takes on the mightiest pillar of Bollywood – the Bachchan family.

It started out as a simple Facebook comment where Kashyap said, “See Chittagong, a far superior film made on the same subject as KHJJS.. At 1/8 th the cost, far superior actors and immense passion.. Producers decided to sit on it, because of a phone call from someone, Because that someone was trying desperately to save his son’s career..welcome to bollywood, where whose son you are outshines all the hardwork and passion and potential and talent. KHJJS came and went, now what.”

For those unaware, the two films in contention are Bedabrata Pain’s yet-to-be-released film Chittagong, and Ashutosh Gowariker’s, Abhishek Bachchan-starrer Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey which released last week. Both these films are based on the Chittagong uprising of 1930.

Kashyap’s Facebook status message has already generated over 80 likes and 60 odd comments. The rooster of More >
