Yeh Saali Zindagi collects 7.50 crs in Week 1

Last Friday’s big release YEH SAALI ZINDAGI collected approx. Rs. 7.5 cr nett in its Week 1. The breakup:- Fri 1.15 cr, Sat 1.65 cr, Sun 1.8 cr, Mon 75 lacs, Tue 75 lacs, Wed 70 lacs, Thu 70 lacs. The film has fared very well at multiplexes of urban centres

UTT PATAANG had very dull collections of around 30 lakhs while likes of UNITED SIX and TUM HI TO HO were even worse. All three films are box office DISASTERS.
DIL TO BACCHA HAI JI dropped badly in week two with business around the 6 crore nett mark. This takes its two week total to 27 crore nett approx and it is likely the film will not hit the 30 crore nett mark. BELOW AVERAGE

TKS takes dull opening; BBB excellent 2nd week

Toonpur Ka Superrhero opened to a dull response of 5-10%. The film has not got a look in at the box office due to the juggernaut Tees Maar Khan. The release is also limited with around 3-4 shows on average at multiplexes and very few single screens.
Even a three week old Band Baaja Baaraat was recording better collections at some stations.
Overall the film is dependent on word of mouth but even if appreciation is there it is unlikely to show in collections as Tees Maar Khan will dominate the box office over the next week or so.

Band Baaja Baarat, on the other hand, is still going strong. Week 2 total stands at Rs. 7.68 cr nett [Week 1 was Rs. 9.40 cr nett]. 2nd week breakup is as follows:- Fri: 1.4 cr, Sat: 1.6 cr, Sun: 2.05 cr, Mon: 72 lacs, Tue: 70 lacs, Wed: 62 lacs, Thu: 59 lacs. Total so far: Rs. 17.08 cr. nett. Excellent.
