Akshay Kumar has a way of patronising his heroines by giving them multiple projects. If you check his past and present screen records, you’ll notice that the actor has a tendency to repeat his heroines till they get married or move on. Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty, Twinkle Khanna, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif have done multiple films with him. But his current favourite is Sonakshi Sinha. Sona, unlike the other girls whose career graphs Akshay has rewritten to a large extent, was already a blockbuster heroine because of her debut with Bollywood’s superhero Salman Khan in Dabangg (2010). Yet, it is Akki who is responsible for giving her some amazing breaks. He signed her for Rowdy Rathore and Joker almost simultaneously, gave her a song in his home-production OMG Oh My God and was also happy to have her included as the heroine in two of his hottest projects — Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again and the Thuppaki remake. From the looks of it, the Akshay-Sona jodi may outlive his hit pairing with Katrina too.

Their Son Of Sardaar last Diwali scorched screens. So when Ajay Devgn had to choose a leading lady to play his love interest in Prabhu Dheva’s next starting July, he pointed his finger in Sonakshi Sinha’s direction. The curly-haired South Indian director has already worked with Sona on Rowdy Rathore, Rambo Rajkumar and the Go, Govinda song in OMG Om My God. Naturally, he is happy to continue the association.
Meanwhile, Yaami Gautam, of Vicky Donor fame, will also be part of the same project. According to sources, this pretty model-turned-actor has a very interesting role. And wait there’s more. Journalist assaulted during Sanjay Dutt’s journey to TADA court?

At Sanjay Dutt’s Bandra residence, it was a test of patience for everyone present there. As Dutt, accompanied by his family, left home to surrender to the TADA court, chaos took over the bylanes of Pali Hill and the way ahead. While the media persons present along the way were leaving no stone unturned for snapping up photographs of the convicted actor, sources say producer Bunty Walia, who was also accompanying the star, flew into a rage and ended up allegedly slapping a journalist.
A source says, “Bunty, who was with Dutt on the way to the TADA Court, apparently hit a TV journalist and even tore off his clothes. Bunty’s car was ahead of the channel’s vehicle and there was a lot of media frenzy. The roads were blocked, as there was a fleet of cars following Dutt and the police force.” As the two cars almost bumped into each other, it allegedly sent Bunty hitting the roof with anger, post which the producer got out of his vehicle along with his bodyguard and engaged in a scuffle with the journalist.
An onlooker says, “The channel’s car nearly collided with Bunty’s car. The way was blocked when Dutt crossed the Worli Sea Link and was proceeding towards the court. There were press photographers everywhere and the scene was that of chaos. Bunty started abusing the journalist as well as the other car’s driver. His body guards also tried to damage the car and even kicked on the bonnet.”

Hrithik Roshan does a no-show for Sanjay Dutt?

When Hrithik Roshan had dropped in to meet Dutt at his home immediately after his sentence was announced, he bumped into many actors there. Ajay Devgn and Mahesh Bhatt who were also present, were garnering support for Dutt. They were urging Sanju’s pals to speak up for him. When Bhatt asked Hrithik if he would show his support for his Agneepath co-star Sanju, in front of the TV crews, Duggu immediately said yes. Ajay, who was scheduled to talk to the channels the following day told him that he would call him to inform him of the venue and the timing. But the next day Hrithik remained unavailable to give bytes to the channels. Says an insider, “The venue was fixed at Devgn’s office (a few minutes away from Hrithik’s Juhu home). but there was no response from the Krrrish 3 actor. After many calls, Ajay received a message from one of Hrithik’s staffer that the actor was unable to attend as he had to attend to some other prior commitment!” Perhaps the actor who is known for approaching things in a very correct manner, didn’t want to make a statement on a judgement passed by the honourable court. Hrithik Roshan has agreed to do a film with director Tigmanshu Dhulia. But that starts only in June 2014. And it won’t be Shakespeare’s Hamlet, which the filmmaker is also making. History shows that Hrithik and Hamlet don’t gel together. Two other filmmakers, Tarsem Singh and Vishal Bharadwaj planned Hamlet with Roshan Jr and failed.
Tigmanshu has decided to do Hamlet with another actor. With Hrithik he plans a semi-rural fable of violence and drama set in the North Indian heartland where Hrithik will have a Uttar Pradesh accent for the first time. For this project, the actor has given dates from June next year. Dhulia confirms, “Hrithik and I are doing a film together. It will start in June 2014. But it is not Hamlet as reported in the press. We are doing something else together.”
Etka Kapoor ropes in Sujoy Ghosh for a thriller?

Sujoy Ghosh has signed a film with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures. Elaborating on the film, a source from Balaji said: “It is a thriller and the formalities are being worked out. Once Ekta is back, details about the casting will be discussed. The project will go on the floors next year.” Sujoy remained unavailable to comment.
According to a source close to Sujoy, the director is already working on two projects: Kahaani 2 and Badla. Both the film has Vidya as the female lead.
Govinda does puja at Indore temple to kickstar Narmmadaa’s B-Town career?

It’s been several years that Govinda’s daughter Narmmadaa has been waiting in the sidelines to have her much- talked- about entry into Bollywood. And now we hear that the actor specially flew to the famous Maheshwar temple, 90 kilometres from Indore, on Tuesday evening, to offer prayers for the success of his daughter and son Harshvardhan.
Sources say Govinda had earlier booked the puja through the Dayalu Mitra Mandal, a religious organisation in the temple town.
Hemant Jain, president of Dayalu Mitra Mandal of the temple says, “Govindaji wanted to visit the temple for a religious ceremony. He spoke to me through a common friend from Mumbai. In fact he was to come around a month back but he could not make it then.” However, this time the actor made sure he made it to the temple and a priest by the name of Alok Purohit conducted the puja for him.
Govinda apparently remained at the temple for about 40 minutes and even received a souvenir from them. Jain adds, “He just said that he wants his kids to do well in life. He is a complete family man and is extremely concerned about his family.”
Waiting for too long?
Those close to the actor have often voiced how Govinda has been quite concerned about Narmmadaa’s long wait. Earlier there were even reports that Govinda had a tiff with Salman Khan as the latter was supposed to launch Narmada which did not ultimately materialise.

If rumours are true, looks like the buzz about Chitrangada Singh apparently seeking a divorce from her golfer husband Jyoti Randhawa is taking a toll on the actress.
Sources say Chitrangda Singh has pulled out of a fashion show at the Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, where she was set to be the showstopper for Indian designer Archana Kochhar. The actress was to walk the ramp on May 27.
An insider says Chitrangda, who is very upset with all the talk about her divorce, has some urgent family issues to attend to at the moment.
A source close to the actress says, “That is why she pulled out of the event. It’s her personal life and it should not be made public.” While Archana confirms that Chitrangda indeed was scheduled to walk the ramp and that a replacement has now been found, the actress incidentally denies having given her word to appear for the designer’s show.
Says Chitrangda, “There is absolutely no truth to the news that I backed out of the Dubai event. I did not confirm for the event in the first place. Unlike several of his movies, there has never been a dull moment in Sanjay Dutt’s life. Like the rest of it, even the day before his three-year jail term started, was marked by events that threatened to veer into high melodrama. It began with Inspector General (prisons) Vinod Lokhande disclosing that Arthur Rod jail authorities had received an anonymous letter stating that the film star would be killed if he were to be lodged at Arthur Road. The threat may prove superfluous as only undertrials are housed at Arthur Road. Dutt, convicted under the Arms Act, is likely be taken to Yerwada at Pune.
By afternoon, a morcha under the banner of Hindu Rashtra Sena was outside his home, Imperial Heights, at Pali Hill, Bandra, demanding the star be hanged for his anti-national activities. Their sloganeering turned out to be as jarring but mercifully shorter than the over-loud background music in most of the star’s recent movies.
His staff had covered the gates to his house in opaque green cloth to keep out the prying media but information trickled out thanks to the constant comings and goings of Dutt’s colleagues, hangers-on, doctors and relatives.
Speaking to them we were able to piece together a troubling portrait of a fragile man. The star who has been drug-free for decades and overcome his heavy alcoholism has taken to finishing a bottle of vodka a day, revealed a source close to him.
