Unlike other years, Asin ushered in her special day on the sets of her new film

While most people like to have a blast on their birthdays, Asin decided to bring in her special day while working on the sets of her next film. The actress is known to party with her close circle of seven friends but this time it was different. Asin is currently shooting at Film City.

Speaking to us on the eve of her birthday, the actress said, “It has been a crazy and chaotic month for me so far so I have not even thought about my birthday as such. My film, Khiladi 786, is releasing in December and we have to finish work as all of us are racing against time.” Apparently, the actress has slept very little, as she has been busy shooting and travelling for work.

Asin added, “Earlier I have been lucky enough to get my day off on my shoots and I have also shot during the day on my birthdays but never in the nights. My immediate family, my mom and dad are here with me. I guess after pack up when I land up at home early morning, we will have our small little celebrations before I crash.” Asin’s friends too are apparently busy travelling across the globe. Better luck, next time we say!

Two Rs 100-crore hits in her kitty and another upcoming biggie in hand, actor Asin has had a bumper year at the BO. But the South hottie reveals that in spite of having lots of reasons to, she just doesn’t have the time to celebrate — neither her successes nor her birthday — which happens to be today. Since the actor has been shooting till wee hours of the morning for the past few days, she was slated to bring in her birthday last night on the sets of her upcoming film Khiladi 786, where the cast and crew had plans to surprise her with a cake. “It’s not like I haven’t worked on my birthdays, but this year, for the first time, I will be bringing it in on the sets,” says Asin, amidst a hectic shoot schedule.

“I’ve been shooting double shifts to wrap up the film in time, but this is what I really enjoy doing. I’m not complaining about bringing in my birthday in the middle of work,” smiles Asin. Recalling her birthday memories over the years, Asin shares that she makes sure to spend at least some time with family and friends even if she’s working. “Last year, seven of my closest friends had flown in from different parts of the world just to celebrate the day with me. Though I myself am not a birthday-crazy girl, it’s the love from everyone around me that makes it special,” adds Asin, saying that she feels rather blessed on her birthdays for more reasons than one. “Last year my birthday was during the Diwali festivities and this year too it is between Dussehra and Eid. Many of my co-stars from the South always say that I have a divine connection,” laughs the actor.

Talking about the celebrations for the day, she says that she’s not had the time to indulge with a birthday gift yet, or had the time to plan anything. “I haven’t planned anything at all, but I always end up getting surprises on the day, so let’s see let’s see how it goes today.” As for her birthday wish, she says, “I think the only thing I can wish for on my birthday today is a little more time at hand.” And what about a Mr Right? “Sure! But really, where are the sexy single men? Or may be I am just too busy to notice them. Bumping into Mr Right soon, now that’ll be a real surprise!” laughs Asin.
