Here’s what happened when Sallu called him for a little chat

Battle lines in Bollywood are often drawn over a woman’s heart. And who knows this better than Salman Khan, who has in his lifetime, dated some of the most stunning women in the industry. The last one being Katrina Kaif, who has found love in Ranbir Kapoor, or so they say.

It came as no surprise then that the mercurial star, who wears his emotions on his …er… vest, kept his distance from the new kid on the block, who had reportedly swept Kat off her feet.

But Sallu, who has been on a mending mode, decided to put the history of hate behind him and channel his inner bhai instead. This is how it all happened.

Yesterday afternoon, at Mehboob studios, Ranbir had just wrapped up his Barfi! shoot and was driving out, when a couple of men stopped him at the gates, saying “Bhai bhi idhar hai.” Ranbir, who was unaware of Salman’s presence got out. The group trooped to Salman’s vanity van, where they met the man himself. According to eyewitnesses, Sallu greeted a seemingly nervous Ranbir with a friendly “Kya chal raha hai,” and broke the ice. They chatted there for a while, before Salman invited Ranbir inside.

There is no word on what exactly transpired inside, but the two men, bound the same woman, must have found something else in common as well. After all, the meeting inside went on for a significantly long time. When they emerged, the two were all smiles. And while Sallu resumed his shoot, Ranbir headed straight to the airport, for his flight to Argentina.

How remarkably different was this meeting from their near-encounter last year. As we can now reveal, when Ranbir found out that Sallu was at a party he was headed for, he had immediately taken a U-turn and gone home.
